Beginning, Body, List
Okay guys, we will be building on this in the next class so be sure to save it as *****.html in your directory on your hard drive on your PC.
In NOTEPAD (Start Programs, Accessories, Notepad), create a document called class1.html
In the document, you will start your first HTML page using all of the BASIC STRUCTURE tags shown on the HTML Reference handout section 1. Put any title you want on your page.
In the BODY of the document, will be your Welcome Statement using a Header Tag. Put two comments into the document. Create an Unordered list of your favorite animals. Create an Ordered list of your favorite products.
Put each list into a separate paragraph with text explaining what these lists are. End the page with a Horizonal rule and your Name and date after the rule.
REALLY FANCY STUFF:
change the unordered list bullets to squares.
add a Background color of yellow to your page.
Save the file to your harddrive and then open it in your Browser. Go to FILE, OPEN and it will allow you to browse your harddrive for the location of the document. Display your document and check for accuracy. Email the Notepad html code (class1.html) to me before the next class. I will review it and return it to you with your grade or any comments on how to improve your coding.
