Grand Central Terminal.



Grand Central Terminal is the world's largest and busiest transportation building, occupying 49 acres and servicing more than 426,000 commuters on a daily basis. The main entrance is located on East 42nd Street at Park Avenue.

The building is not called a station but a terminal. This is because almost all trains end or terminate their run here. In a station most trains pass through.







Here is a shot of the Main Concourse, off to the right.
The MC is 120 feet by 280 feet covering 33,600 square feet and the highest part of the ceiling is 125 feet above the floor.

Sad to say its now a ruin, but Buffalo hasn't the money to demolish it or restore it!

Here is a shot of the Main Concourse of Pennsylvania Railroad Terminal.
It was demolished in the sixties and a run-of-the-mill building erected.
It was on thirty-third street.
