Time: Players must be here between 12:30
and 1:00 to register. If you are late you will not be allowed to play. The
Tournament will last from 1:15 - 6:00 (this is an estimated time), and
each round will be 20 minutes long.

Pick-Up: The 8 players who did not make
the top 8 after the 5th round have the option to leave or continue to
play for ranking in the tournament, so pick up will begin 3:40 for
those who wish to leave. All players must be picked up no later than
6:30.
|
Place: 694 Presque Isle Dr., Pittsburgh,
PA 15239 (up the hill from Holiday Lanes in Holiday Park)

Format: This Tournament will be in Swiss
format. Each player will have the opportunity to play 5 rounds.
However, after 5 rounds 8 players will be chosen (based on their
record) to move on to the final 4 rounds, the remaining players in
the tournament may play during the 4 rounds to compete for ranking in
the tournament, but they will not be able to rank higher than 9th
place.

Deck: All sets will be allowed. Ancient
Mew, and Happy Birthday Pikachu are not allowed, and Sneasal will be
allowed. Your must contain no more and no less than 60 cards. No foreign
cards are allowed unless you use a solid back, and have an the American
card off to the side so you and you opponent will be able to refer to it.
If you chose to use sleaves then they must be on all of your cards, clear
or solid back. YOU MUST
BE AN EXPERIENCED PLAYER AND KNOW ALL OF THE NECESSARY RULES IN ORDER
TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT, sorry but we don't have the time to teach
anyone, so if you are new the game and/or don't know or understand the
basic rules of the game you will not be allowed to participate in the
tournament.

Pre-registration: Call (724) 733-8159 or
email at tmaster13@adelphia.net starting Nov. 3 - Nov. 8 between the
hours 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm. If you recieve the answering machine please
leave your Name, Phone #, and when you can be reached so we can comfirm
your registraion and answer any questions that you may have. No more
than 16 players will be allowed to compete, so this will be a first come
first serve basis.

Fee: The entrance fee will be $2.00
(exact american currency, and cash only please) this will be payed when
you arrive.
|
When you Arrive: At least one parent or
gaurdian must be with the player if he or she is under 21. When you
register for the tournament (between 12:30 and 1:00), the parent or
gaurdian will have to sign a waiver form unless you come to the house and
pick it up early, so the player may compete (if you are over 21 then you
must sign the waiver form in order to compete). Also, when you are signing
the waiver form, you will be asked your conformation number (this will be
given to you when you pre-register), and your entrance fee of $2.00. The
players will also have to fill out a deck registration sheet, which is a
list of all of the cards in your deck, or you can go to www.wizards.com/pokemon
and use the same sheet that they are using for the West Coast Super
Trainer Showdown, so you can fill it out and bring it with you to the
tournament. So once you have turned in your deck registration sheet
then you will not be able change the cards in your deck or use a
different deck.

Food: We will not serve food or drinks, you will
have to bring and look after you own food and drinks (please be able to identify your own),
however players and parents may not bring food and/or drinks in to the play area (a.k.a. Battle
Arena). There will be a 15 minute scheduled break after the 5th round.

Rules: There will be no refunds. The DCI representative has the
final say on all decisions for game play (what he/she says goes no buts about it). Poor
Sportsmenship, and miss conduct will not be tolerated and result in banning from the tournament
with no refund.

Prizes: There will be as prizes for players who finnished 1st
through 4th.

All players who competed will recieve a certificate of participation.

Buying, Selling and Trading: Before the tournament and after you register
you will be allowed.
|
The Tournament: All ages will be participating against each other, that each match is 20 minutes with top 8 decided after 5th round. Players must not be late. There will be approximately a 5 minute break between each round. Any player not ready to play at the beginning of each match loses a point. Any player not in seat within 10 minutes of start of match will forfeit that match. If your partner is not in his/her seat at the beginning of each match you must raise your hand and notify DCI representative immediately in order to have competitor docked. After 5th round if participant may drop out of tournament or can continue to play 4 additional rounds to establish game ranking. At this time there will be a 15 minute snack break.
There will be no more than 16 players competing in the tournament. All ages will be
allowed to play in the tournament, and all ages will be competing against each other. You will
have to pre-register for the tournaments, and fill out a deck regristration form and a waiver,
which will be available at the tournament.
