Poem-
"old
unknown world"
Into
the old, unknown world Where
time and space are meaningless. Days
fly by without stop,
Leaving behind one big mess. Searching
for answers you can not find,
Knowing forever has no end. Yet
wondering when the dream will cease,
Hoping for words to help comprehend.
Who’s there – an instinct to hate. But
time escapes you one more time,
Two lost souls, met by fate. The
transformation ~ makeover ~ has begun unexpectedly,
Once was a place sprinkled with color. Shifting
fast, changing into something completely new,
Buildings erected and the world grows duller. The
Dutch ships have sail once more,
All is lost in the blink of an eye. Gatsby’s
love for Daisy recedes into darkness,
Nothing to do but watch it slip by. Change
– the inevitable, unstoppable wickedness,
Feared by most – but what can they do? It
is time to move on and start over anew, You realize you’re old life is utterly through. Sarah Tackett |
