Nice to Meet Ya!

These games are great icebreakers when your group is new to each other. I have used both games to introduce the girls to each other at the begining of the Scouting year.

Beanbag Toss

After each person introduces herself form a large circle.

Call out the name of someone you have just met, and then toss the beanbag to her. Continue calling and tossing until everyone has had several turns with the beanbag.

Nametag Exchange

Prepare nametags in advance. As the girls arrive at the meeting give them a nametag - but not their own! When everyone is present have the girls find the owner of the nametag she was given. You could have the girls find something about their nametag holder, such as her favorite color or when her birthday is. Then share it with the rest of the group.
