All of these meals can be made outdoors.
Mix first 5 ingredients as you would for biscuits (or use Bisquik). Roll dough into round balls around a cube of cheese. Drop balls into hot tomato soup diluted with 1/2 can of water. Cook slowly until dough is cooked through, about 15 - 20 minutes. Keep lid on tightly; do not peek. Serve supmlings with soup as sauce. Add more water to soup before the next batch of dumplings is cooked.
Thread frank onto stik; then add pineapple. Alternate until entire frank is on the stick. Cook over hot coals. For variety add tomatoes, onions, or peppers.
Cut up potatoes and carrots. Make hamburger patties (1 per person). Place ingredients side by side on piece of foil. Season. Wrap foil drugstore fold style. Put packet into coals. Cook 10 - 20 minutes or until done.
Important: For better cooking and less burning ad one of the following to each foil packet: 1 T. water, dab of butter, or 1 T. ketchup.
VARIATIONS: Chicken, rice and tomato; minute steak, corn and potato; hot dog, sauerkraut, and potato; ham, pineapple, canned sweet potatoes, and grated cheese.
Brown meat with onion and pepper. Drain. Add soups and season to taste. Heat for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
VARIATIONS: Spanish Rice: instead of vegetable soup add a 1 lb box of Minute Rice and 3 1/2 cans of water. Hungarian Hot Pot: add 3 cans of baked beans in place of the vegetable soup. Camping Corn: substitute 3 cans cream style corn and 1/2 lb diced cheese for the vegetable soup.
