This game requires at least ten players.
Four players link their arms together forming a chain. These four players are the dragon. They must not let go of each other's arms, but must always run linked together.
The dragon runs around and tries to catch as many players at one time as it can by forming a circle around them. As soon as one or more of the players is circled they must link arms with the others on the dragon and help capture the remaining players.
The game is over when everyone has been tagged.
Form teams of six players each.
All players must take off her shoes and put them in a heap at one end of the room.
Fall into line, and play the game as an ordinary relay. Run up to the heap of shoes, find your own shoes, put them on, lace them up, and run back to your own line.
The first team with all players re-shod wins.
This game is for five or more players.
One player is chosen leader. She starts the game by saying "Feathers, Feathers, Chicken Feathers!" and flapping her arms in a flying motion. All the other players then flap their arms.
She calls out "Feathers, Feathers " again and again, usually naming some creather that has feathers, and always flapping her arms. But suddenly she may call out "Feathers, Feathers, Pig Feathers!" or any other creature that does not have feathers, but still flapping her arms. Anyone else however who flaps her arms when she names something without feathers is out.
The leader calls out "Feathers, Feathers " as fast as she can to confuse the players and make them flap when they shouldn't.
The players all stand in a large circle with one girl standing in the middle. She gives the orders: Birds; Giants; Dwarfs; or Wicked Witch.
When the order is Birds the girls pretend to fly. They walk tall for Giants and creep low for Dwarfs. When the girl in the middle says Wicked Witch all the girls run away to "Home ".
The girl from the middle chases them, and the first one to be caught gives the orders next.
In this game, one person plays the "stop light " and the rest try to touch her.
At the start, all the girls form a line about 15 feet away from the stoplight. The stop light faces away from the line of kids and says green light. At this point the kids are allowed to move towards the stoplight. At any point the stop light may say red light! and turn around. If any of the girls are caught moving after this has occured they are out.
Play resumes when the stop light turns back around and says green light. The stoplight wins if everyone is out before they are able to touch her. Otherwise, the first person to touch the stop light wins the game and earns the right to be the stoplight for the next game.
One player is the tiger.
A large circle is drawn on the ground. The tiger stands in the center of the circle. Other players stand outside the circle. Everyone can "torment" the tiger by jumping into the circle and then out again. Tiger can not leave the circle to tag tormenters.
If a player is tagged they become the tiger.
Troop divides into two equal teams. One troop is the crows and one troop is the cranes. Teams line up back to back in the center of the playing field.
Leader calls out a team name. That team must try to get to their end of the playing field without being tagged by the other team. If a team is tagged the play is reversed and the "taggers" become the "tagees". This can go on forever....
