Enter Patient Weight: lbs

• Must start Activase therapy as soon as possible after the onset of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
• Accelerated Infusion (90-minute): The recommended total dose is based upon patient weight, not to exceed 100 mg.
  • Patients over 65kg: 15mg IV bolus, 50mg over 30min, then 35mg over 60min.
  • Patients under 65kg: 15mg IV bolus, then 0.75mg/kg over 30min, then 0.50mg/kg over 60min.

Remove and waste mg from a mg vial of Activase. The remainder of the Activase vial is mg total dose.

Bolus Dose: Use a syringe to withdraw mg from the Activase vial and administer IV push.

Infusion: Infuse mg (0.75mg/kg but not to exceed 50 mg) from the Activase vial^* intravenously over the next 30 minutes.

Then infuse the remaining mg (0.5mg/kg but not to exceed 35 mg) over the next 60 minutes.

(*) For 50 mg vials - Using a polyvinyl chloride bag or glass vial to administer. For 100 mg vial - Hang the Activase vial from the plastic molded capping attached to the bottom of the vial.
