TENDERS MOUNTAIN

THE MOUNTAIN

Walking in the forest upon a river of leaves
In tune with the birds and hearing their cries
As a message being sung by the mighty trees
It brought a joy and wonder to the saddened eyes

As the heart became one with the mountain
In all its awe and magic of its grace
The rippling of the stream sounded like a fountain
Knowing he could be happy in no other place

Having not to strain - for one could plainly hear it
Knowing of the feeling of losing all control
Suddenly, the heart was filled from the mountains spirit
And peace again calmed the needy soul

As the pain of lifes sorrows left the troubled brow
Also, went all the hurt and strains
The forest life that had once been forgotten, but now,
The renewal of the spirit was again regained...
