BAKE MCBRIDE
This slender, often-silent outfielder was an integral part of the 1980
World Championship team. He hit .309 and had a career high 87 RBI's. McBride was the N-L
Rookie of The Year in 1974 with the Cardinals. His career was eventually cut short by bad
knees, but he did manage to amass more than 1100 hits and a career .299 batting average.
Bake's biggest hit was probably his 3-run home run in Game One of the '80 Series.
