TUG MCGRAW

He was at the focal point of the greatest moment in Phillies' history. At 11:29pm
on Tuesday night, October 21st, 1980, Frank Edwin "Tug" McGraw blew a 1-2
fastball past Willie Wilson and the Philadelphia Phillies became World Champions
for the first time ever. The next day, it was the image of "Tylenol Tug" holding
a newspaper headline aloft  ("WE WIN!") that provided the defining moment of
Philadelphia's celebration. "Tugger" compiled a 49-37 record and notched a 3.10
ERA and 94 saves with the Phils from 1975-84.
