Wow...I'll bet you thought you'd never get through all that design "theory". That's what you just learned about. You may have known some of it, and if you take any other courses in design in college or elsewhere, you'll probably see some more of that. But for now, we need to start to understand why that was important, by actually learning to create designs.

There will be two basic areas of creating designs that we will be looking at. It is always good to start with the basics, so the first section will be on "traditional" (YOU might say "old-fashioned", but this term sounds nicer) art procedures. There is a lot to learn in that section.

Then, we will look at the new (and more practical) methods of producing artwork. That would be "electronic publishing" or "computer-based" design. Now remember, this is a screen printing class, so we are going to try to make most of the lessons relate to screen printing, especially shirt designs.

This will be your new table of contents page, so try to remember the artwork at the top. The links below will get you started. BE CERTAIN to read everything carefully, there will be tests and quizzes along the way. You will also be taking some breaks, to work with designs on your drawing tables as well as your computers. SO LET'S GET STARTED!
