at the University of Alaska Southeast!

The B.L.A. degree is a 120-credit baccalaureate level degree that focuses on a wide array of humanities, social science, math and natural science disciplines, with special emphasis placed on English, history and anthropology. It is designed for the generalist who seeks a broad foundation of knowledge. The B.L.A. may also serve as a pre-professional degree for entry into graduate programs that require or recommend a general studies background.

All courses needed to complete the degree are available by distance delivery throughout Southeast Alaska. Most courses are offered during the late afternoon and evening hours.

In order to complete the courses, you need access to a telephone, fax machine, a VCR, computer, the internet and possibly a coffeepot (for those late night study sessions).
