To apply for admission:1. Complete and return the application for admission. Applications are available from the UAS-Sitka Admissions and Records Office.
2. Submit $35 application fee. This fee is not refundable.
3. Submit official copies of all transcripts from any high school or college you have attended. Transcripts must be mailed directly to the UAS Admissions and Records Office by the registrar of your previous school, or they must be delivered to UAS in an envelope sealed by the registrar. To release transcripts, most colleges require a student's signature and a processing fee. Allow 2-4 weeks for high schools, GED agencies and colleges to send transcripts and/or score reports to UAS. For military credit, submit the following forms: active duty [DD295], inactive duty [DD214].
Approximately 2-3 weeks after we have received these items, you will be notified of your admissions status.
All students who have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent, and who have not attended college elsewhere are eligible for admission. All students who have attended college and have earned a 2.0 or higher GPA are also eligible for admission. Transfer students who have not earned a 2.0 GPA may be admitted on a probational basis.
