HIGH SCHOOL 21st CENTURY
COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER

Beginning with the 2000-2001 school year and continuing for the next three years, volunteers are encouraged to participate in a new grant program at both Sitka High and Pacific High School. (Volunteers are needed in the following programs: after school tutoring; Native cultural clubs and activities; music, drama and art clubs; Teen Center events; service learning projects; mentoring; recreation clubs and activities; and technology clubs. In addition to these programs, we will also offer supplemental high school courses for credit, free childcare for teen parents, on-the-job vocational training, additional guidance counselors, a Tribal government course for credit, and a $10,000 scholarship fund for high school students who take college courses during high school. |

Campground caretakers are utilized year-round at Sawmill Creek and Starrigavan Campgrounds. Volunteers must provide their own self-contained living unit and vehicle. Senior volunteers are preferred to perform general office duties. Recreation assistants, 21 years or older, are needed from May 1st. to mid-September. |
