Enjoying our final moments at the zoo, not
knowing if this may be our last time together. (1979) |
| Weeks after that picture at the zoo we escaped Vietnam. We left with
hundreds of other people on an over crowded boat. The boat's engine died and we were
left stranded in the middle of the vast ocean for days with nothing to eat or drink.
We were eventually rescued by marines, who later took us to the mainland. There we
waited, until we were sponsered by a church in Regina, Canada. They game us the
support we needed to get settle in our new homeland. |
