Hi;
I am what is known by the politically correct discription, a "transwoman". Some would say transsexual. The sad thing about that term, it has been associated with everything from Jerry Springer, to porn sites. I am one of those people you will pass in a grocery store, maybe see me coming or going into the post office, yet I am invisible. Why? I am just another person living their life to the best of their abilities. I don't do porn, I don't live in a trailer park, I don't appear on Jerry Springer. I am a health professional, I am buying my own home, drive in a late model car. I am essentially an ordinary person, with the exception of my physical and psychological gender not meshing. I was a stubborn one, due to societal and religious influences of my younger years, I thought being me was a bad thing. Not anymore though, my creator made only one of me, and I find that is a very important distinction. I am single, so who knows, maybe one day, that will end. I haven't dismissed the idea, but the person will have to be pretty special, why!?, because he will be getting someone special when he gets me.
I love the arts and sciences. I have a deep appreciation for beauty, as well as a very inquisitive mind. I do consider myself a spiritual person, although I don't belong to any organized religion. I love going to new places. I love experiencing new cultures, whether going to someplace new, or better yet, tasting their cuisine. I love comedy, science fiction, political satire, and yes a good chick flick to cry over.
Ha!, my family is a good episode of Jerry Springer, I love them, but as most families, they are nuts!! My friends, I have a wide assortment of friends. Some are within the GLBT communtiy, but most are everyday folks. They range from engineers to nursing assistants, from house painters, to registered nurses. All are compassionate, fair minded people, that view a person on their unique personality qualities, rather than anything else.
