Taped 2/1/2001
Aired 2/2/2001
(We see clips of Turbo, including the Goldberg/Chavo match, and Kanyon later getting demolished by Goldberg, and the Mantaur/Norton match, including the Powerbomb by Norton through the table.)
(We are in the America West Arena in Arizona for All Star Wrestling!
We go backstage to Jacob Goodman for a rundown of tonight's card.)
Goodman: Tonight, the main focus will most likely be the first appearance of the World Champion at a WWAW show since Winter Blast. Jeff Jarrett has told officials he's got something to say to the fans tonight. Rikishi will face Jericho, The Hardyz will be facing The Perfect Event, and the Main Event will be a match between Bill Goldberg and Scott Norton... should be interesting. Without further ado, let's go to the action.
(We go to the ring.)
Match #1:
Perry Saturn vs. Chris Kanyon
Summary: The match started out in favor of Kanyon, as he hit a snap suplex, lariat, and DDT before Saturn regained control after Kanyon missed a flying clothesline. Saturn then picked up Kanyon, hit him, and then nailed him with a takeover suplex. Perry superkicked and headbutted Kanyon as Kanyon went to the outside. Kanyon went back in, and got met with a couple of kicks. Saturn went for the Death Valley Driver, but Kanyon countered it with a DDT. Kanyon kicked Saturn in the head, but got his fortune reversed when he tried to whip Saturn into the turnbuckle. Saturn hit 3 punches on Kanyon in the corner, the 3rd knocking him out of the corner. Saturn went for a Northern Lights Suplex, but Kanyon countered it with a swinging neckbreaker, avoiding another high-power move. Kanyon got the first pin attempt of the match after a snap suplex and power bomb, resulting in a 2 count. Saturn then ducked the flying clothesline from Kanyon again, and hit Kanyon with a waistlock suplex. This gave another 2 count. After a kick and punch, Kanyon got a knee in Saturn's gut to stop a takeover suplex. Kanyon then hit a faceslam on the bent over Saturn. Saturn ducked a superkick, and got behind Kanyon to hit him with a back suplex. The match went to the outside of the ring, where Saturn whipped Kanyon into the guardrails a couple of times before headbutting him. Saturn hit a waistlock suplex before sending him back into the ring. After a superkick, dropkick, and waistlock suplex, Saturn went for a cover, but got only 2. Kanyon then blocked a double armbar submission, and managed to hit a vertical facebuster on Saturn for 2. Kanyon complained to the ref, but Saturn just rolled him up for a fairly quick 2 count. Saturn hit a punch and a running clothesline, but missed with a running elbow on Kanyon. Kanyon countered a lariat attempt from Saturn into a Gorilla Press, but Saturn countered THAT with a face rake.
Kanyon blocked a tiger suplex and threw Saturn out of the ring. They brawled, and brawled, and brawled, and unfortunately, the match ended in a double countout.
Chris Kanyon and Perry Saturn battled to a double countout in 0:09:02.

(Jacob Goodman is with Mantaur.)
Goodman: Mantaur, you are fighting Chavo next, any thoughts?
Mantaur: Chavo may be smaller than me, he may be quicker than me, but I'm the one walking out with the win, and that's that.
(Mantaur walks off.)
(Linkin Park's "One Step Closer" plays and Chavo comes out to a moderate pop.)
(Bush's "Machinehead" plays and Mantaur comes out to a few pops from the crowd.)
Match #2:
Mantaur vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.
Summary: With a 245 pound advantage over Chavo, Mantaur looked to be the obvious favorite going into this match. The opening minutes belonged to Chavo. 5 minutes in, the action carried to the outside, as Chavo hit a flying cross body press all the way to the outside on Mantaur, then whipped him into the guardrail. Both men re-entered the ring, and Chavo hit a slap and a eye gouge, and threw him right back outside of the ring. Chavo went for a flying cross body press again, but Mantaur moved this time, sending Chavo to the concrete with a sickening splat. Mantaur reversed a clothesline attempt by Chavo with a Gorilla Press, and then bodyslammed Chavo on the outside, before throwing him back into the ring. From there, Mantaur hit a shoulderblock, a ropeburn, and an avalanche, all from whipping Chavo into the ropes. Mantaur went to bite the face of Chavo, but Chavo kneed Mantaur away. Chavo then hit a spinning leg lariat on Mantaur, and locked on a front facelock, only to have Mantaur hit a backdrop to counter the hold. Mantaur went for the cover, getting 2, and then had a roundhouse right blocked. Chavo then threw Mantaur out of the ring, AGAIN. Chavo hit a running somersault plancha on to him to the delight of the crowd. Chavo then hit a roundhouse right of his own, and threw Mantaur back into the ring. Mantaur ducked a spinning leg lariat, and hit a backbreaker on Chavo. Mantaur came back to hit another one, but Chavo blocked this one. Mantaur then no-sold a dropkick, hitting a headbutt on Chavo, and a belly-to-belly suplex, almost knocking the wind out of Chavo. After a spinebuster slam, Mantaur got a 2 count. Mantaur almost had Chavo counted out after he was thrown to the outside following a series of reversals. Mantaur threw Chavo into the ropes, and backdropped him out of the ring, making the splat count on the concrete at 2 for this match. Mantaur then picked up Chavo and whipped him into the ringsteps, and actually got a few boos for this. After throwing Mantaur into the guardrail, ringpost, and hitting a couple of eye gouges, Chavo re-entered the ring, with Mantaur not far behind. Chavo hit a brainbuster on Mantaur, and then whipped him into the corner, and hit the TORNADO DDT! This could be over right here!

We now are going to commercials.
(Commercials)
(Back from commercials, and we're going to go backstage with the Hardyz.)
Goodman: Matt, Jeff, tonight you will face the Perfect Event, since you two and the Perfect Event are the only teams NOT to be attacked since Turbo on Tuesday.
Matt: Jacob, we aren't worried about being attacked. All we care about is getting a win, and getting done with it.
(The Hardyz walk off.)
Match #3:
Jesse James vs. Buff Bagwell
Summary: I'd tell you what happened in this match, but I wouldn't want anyone to fall asleep. Bagwell was on the top of his game tonight, and that spelt bad news for James, as he was defeated.
Buff Bagwell pinned Jesse James with the Buff Blockbuster in 0:09:55.

(Rikishi Phatu is backstage with Jacob Goodman.)
Goodman: Rikishi, you injured Al Snow following your match with him at Winter Blast. Tonight, you face Chris Jericho. What is your gameplan going into this.
Rikishi: My game plan? My game plan? Let me tell you something. Rikishi's only game plan tonight, is to go out there, and teach that little punk Jericho that he's just that, a little punk. I may just have to break a few bones to get my point across, but if that's what it takes, then that's what I'm gonna have to do.
(Rikishi walks off.)
Match #4:
Rikishi Phatu vs. Chris Jericho
Summary: Right off the bat, Rikishi ducked a spin kick and hit a running sitdown on Jericho, followed by a Sitdown Piledriver. Rikishi went for the pin, and it might be over!
ONE, TWO, THR-NO! KICKOUT! That quickly, and Jericho is already worn out pretty bad.
Rikishi hit a vertical suplex, followed by a hiptoss, and then whipped Jericho into the ropes. Jericho hit a shoulderblock, and then got a spin kick in on Rikishi. Rikishi reversed a whip into the turnbuckle attempt, and Jericho got met with an elbow when he tried to charge back at the Phat Man. After a savate kick and another vertical suplex from Rikishi, Jericho countered a bearhug with a punch to the head and then hit a dropkick on Rikishi, knocking him down and getting a 2 count.
Jericho complained to the ref about a slow count, but it was unanswered, and Jericho hit a chop on Rikishi. Rikishi backdropped Jericho as Jericho came off the ropes, and then hiptossed Jericho. Rikishi went for a second, but Jericho managed to catch Rikishi in a backslide for a 1 count. Jericho countered a Gorilla Press into a sunset flip for a 2 count, and then chopped Rikishi again. After a kick and a punch, Jericho hit a flying dropkick, clotheslined Rikishi, and threw him out of the ring. After whipping Rikishi into the guardrail, he threw him back into the ring, and tried for two dropkicks, the first hit, the second didn't. Rikishi couldn't hit a backbreaker on Jericho, and Jericho hit a flying dropkick for a 2 count, which he argued with the ref over. Rikishi took control, but got a hiptoss countered into a backslide again for a 2 count. Rikishi fought back and had Jericho reeling, Jericho hit Rikishi with a clothesline for two, and Rikishi hit a kick on Jericho for two. Rikishi nailed a running sitdown, but Jericho blocked a Sitdown Piledriver attempt. After whipping Jericho into the ropes, Jericho ducked a shoulderblock and a clothesline, but Rikishi hit a side suplex on Jericho anyways. After another side suplex, Rikishi picked up Jericho...SITDOWN PILEDRIVER! THIS HAS GOT TO BE IT!
ONE, TWO, THREE! IT'S OVER!
Rikishi Phatu pinned Chris Jericho with the Sitdown Piledriver in 0:08:33.

Interview w/ Jeff Jarrett
(Jarrett comes down to the ring with the WWAW World Title around his left arm, and a guitar over his right shoulder. Boos can be heard all through the arena as Jarrett goes into the ring with a mic.)
Jarrett: I came out here tonight to talk about you fans. It's not that the fans that come to this arena day in and day out are BAD people. However, I don't understand them. They cheered for a man who was selling out and leaving the company, they cheer a foul-mouthed punk, and they'll cheer anyone who almost gets their neck broken trying to win a match. You fans are stupid, and there ain't no doubt in my mind, that all over this country, that every single fan out there, they are just like you... because they don't understand greatness. Like me. The Chosen One has been trying to tell you people all this time that looking up to people like Austin, Jericho, and the Hardy Boyz are not good things to do, but instead, to look up to me, a true role model for kids of all ages. You think it's just that simple to get rid of me, at least that's what I think you are all thinking tonight. I've got the damn Stroke around here, and there ain't a damn thing any one of you can do about it.
(Boos)
Jarrett: Oh shut up, you crowd of innumerable slapasses!
(More Boos)
Jarrett: Oh, what am I wasting my time on you people for. Just remember, that it's people like Scott Norton, and me, the Chosen One, that are good role models, that are good people, and... are the best. So when you go home from here, you can finally say to yourself, I saw the Chosen One, and I realized what a slapnuts I was. It's time to face the truth. And if you don't like it, YOU CAN CHOKE ON IT, SLAPNUTS.
(Jarrett throws the mic down and shows his belt to the crowd. The boos are louder than they were when Jarrett entered, and now, on exit, the boos are deafening.)
Backstage
(Jacob Goodman is with the Perfect Event.)
Goodman: I tell you what, you jackasses, do this interview yourself.
(Goodman throws down the mic and leaves.)
Stasiak: Well, that wasn't nice. Anyways, Hardyz, we're gonna go into that ring, and we're going to show you why we are the Perfect Event, and why you two are a couple of jabronies. Let's get out of here, Chuck.
(The Perfect Event walk off as we go to commercials.)
(Commercials)
Match #5:
The Perfect Event vs. The Hardyz
Summary: It seemed the Perfect Event wasn't worried about any attacks, but I couldn't say the same for the Hardyz. They were paranoid, waiting for the attacker, or attackers, to come out. The attackers never came out, however, and as the match progressed, the Hardyz seemed
to hit their groove. It was enough, as The Perfect Event was denied the benefit of a win, and a Senton Bomb on Stasiak was all it took for the Hardyz to pick up the win.
The Hardy Boyz defeated Chuck Palumbo and Shawn Stasiak when J. Hardy pinned
Palumbo with the Senton Bomb in 0:11:42.
Rating: ** 1/4

Goldberg: Norton, I have nothing to say for you. Except for three words... YOU... ARE... NEXT!
(Suddenly, in the background, we see Kanyon sneaking up on Goldberg with a chair. Kanyon connects, but Goldberg just turns around and glares at Kanyon. Goldberg chases Kanyon out of the locker room. Norton vs. Goldberg, NEXT!!!!)
Main Event, Match #6:
Scott Norton vs. Bill Goldberg
Summary: Goldberg went in to the match with a lot of viciousness, and controlled the match. Goldberg hit the Jackhammer on Norton, but the real story in this match is what happened during the match, as Jarrett came down to ringside. When the pin was made after the Jackhammer, Jarrett came in, broke the pin, and got Norton DQ'ed.
Bill Goldberg defeated Scott Norton by disqualification in 0:14:44.
Rating: 1/2*
Jarrett attacks Goldberg, kicking him on the ground. Kanyon runs down to join in, and Norton later gets up, and it's 3-on-1. Jarrett tells Kanyon and Norton to grab Goldberg by the arms, and Jarrett gets his guitar... BOOM! Right over the head of Goldberg, and he's out! The show ends showing a downed Goldberg surrounded by Kanyon, Norton, and Jarrett, kicking the shit out of him.

Bill Goldberg vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.
Summary: The monster, against the "midget" was the opening match in Turbo. Upset that he lost to Norton at Winter Blast, Chavo gave it to Bill in the early going, hitting a few punches and an eye gouge. However, after Goldberg reversed a whip into the ropes, he gained control, hitting a Gorilla Press, a running elbow, and a kick, then threw Chavo out of the ring. Chavo came back into the ring and Goldberg hit him with a savate kick, followed by a forearm smash. Goldberg went for another, but Chavo reversed it, and tried to hit a hiptoss, but he couldn't toss Goldberg. Chavo knocked down Goldberg with a clothesline off the ropes, but Goldberg hit a bodyslam on Chavo after no-selling a kick. Chavo fought back and threw Goldberg outside the ring, and had the advantage. Goldberg blocked a bulldog and went for a backdrop, but Chavo caught Goldberg's legs and hit him with a sunset flip, getting 2. After a few reversals, Chavo hit a dropkick and knocked Goldberg out of the ring. Chavo got a running start and hit a running somersault plancha to the delight of the crowd. Chavo went back in the ring and went for a moonsault bodyblock, but he hit it, only to have Goldberg POP right back up. Chavo blocked a Gorilla Press and threw Goldberg back into the ring at 4. Chavo got another 2 after a hiptoss, but he then threw Goldberg out of the ring again. Chavo went for the running somersault plancha again, but paid for it as Goldberg moved out of the way, sending Chavo to the mat with a sickening splat. Back in the ring, Chavo side-stepped a spear by inches and hit a few punches on Goldberg, but Goldberg went for a spear when whipped into the ropes, but Chavo managed to dive out of the way again. The crowd was going apeshit, waiting for that one spear to knock Chavo's brains out. Chavo hit a moonsault bodyblock on Goldberg, but RIGHT at 3, Goldberg kicked out and it was a 2 count. Goldberg punched Chavo, and hit the spear, and went for the Jackhammer, NO! COUNTER! Cross-body block! NO! 2 count! Chavo tried to fight Goldberg off, but Chavo hit a punch, but Goldberg hit a spear AGAIN. Goldberg hit the Jackhammer and went for the pin.
ONE...
TWO...
THR..NO! HE KICKED OUT! HE KICKED OUT!
Goldberg reversed a reversed punch by Chavo and hit a clothesline, followed by a 3rd spear. Once again, Chavo countered the Jackhammer with a inside cradle. Goldberg got his foot on the ropes, so it was only a 2 count. Chavo got on a roll, hitting moves like a kick for a one count, and a spinebuster for 1. Chavo later countered a clothesline with a cruicifix, but only got two. Chavo hit a flying dropkick off the top and went for the cover.
ONE...
TWO...
THR--NO! HE WAS SO CLOSE!
Chavo hit a rally of kicks and punches, and then hit a flying cross body press, but Goldberg kicked out at 1. A clothesline by Chavo set up a sleeperhold on Goldberg, but Goldberg hit a jawbreaker. Goldberg signaled for the Jackhammer, and hit it... could he get it this time?

Mantaur vs. Scott Norton
Summary: Going into this match, the fans wanted to see what Mantaur could do. With a 90 pound advantage over Norton, many thought Norton would have trouble with Mantaur, especially when trying to lift him up for his Powerbomb. In a big battle, both men went toe to toe with each other. In the end, Norton hit a football tackle and went for the pin, but the bell ringed in his spite.
Scott Norton and Mantaur battled to a draw in 0:20:00.

Norton, pissed he couldn't keep the big man down, let out his frustrations. He clotheslined Mantaur, and then dragged him out to the ring. Norton went to Powerbomb him on the concrete, but Mantaur countered with a backdrop. Norton smacked against the concrete, and Mantaur picked him up and threw him in the ring. Mantaur grabbed a table from under the ring and slid it in, then got in himself. He set it up, and waited for Norton to get up. When he did, Mantaur wasn't ready for the raging clothesline that followed. Norton picked up Mantaur, and set him up for a Powerbomb through the table. 1 try...2nd try...3rd? YES! HE'S GOT HIM UP!!... AND DOWN!!! HOLY SHIT!! MANTAUR just got the FUCK powerbombed out of him! Norton throws his arms up in the air as the show ends, and the celebration begins for "Flash".
