WWAW All Star Wrestling
Taped 3/8/2001
Aired 3/9/2001

(We get a video package from Turbo, including Doring's attack on Lita, Doring and Roadkill's attack on the Hardyz, Chavo and Corino's showdown in the ring, Kanyon's win over Modest, Booker T's appearance, Modest's attack on Jericho after Jericho lost to Norton, Chris Benoit's appearance to defeat Jeff Jarrett, and Chris Kanyon and the Perfect Event stepping up to defend Jarrett from an attack by Norton on Jarrett after his match with Benoit.)

("Sway" brings us into the First Union Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for All Star Wrestling! The crowd is going crazy, and we then go to Trent Rutherford.)

Rutherford: Welcome to Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, for All Star Wrestling! Tonight, we will have Bill Goldberg facing off against Michael Modest, and two tournament matches!

("Cowboy" plays, and Jeff Jarrett comes out with the guitar on the shoulder and the WWAW Title around the waist, like usual. Following him is the Perfect Event and Chris Kanyon. Kanyon has his steel pipe.)

Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, Chris Kanyon, the Perfect Event, and the WWAW World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett!

(They enter the ring one by one, and raise their hands in the air as a sign of victory, especially considering Tuesday's massacre of Norton. Jarrett gets the mic from Robert Smith.)

Jarrett: Hellooooo SLAPNUTZ~!

(Boos)

Jarrett: Tuesday, on Turbo, we revealed our elite group, and wore down Scott Norton in the process. The Perfect Event, Kanyon, and myself made sure that that Slapass wasn't going to get anywhere, and was going to stay face down sprawled out on the mat. Kanyon right here clobbered him from behind with his steel pipe, and we took advantage. Tonight, I hear he has a match with Steve Corino. Norton, I suggest you watch your back.

(From behind the curtains...)

Ryder: I suggest you shut the hell up.

(The crowd pops as "Jump Around" by House of Pain plays, and President Ryder comes out! The crowd goes crazy, and Ryder has a mic.)

Ryder: Jarrett...first off, that attack on Norton was cowardly. I fear the things your goons will do if Norton wins this tournament.

Jarrett: He won't---

Ryder: Don't ever interrupt me again.

(Crowd pops)

Ryder: If you interfere in Norton's match tonight, I'll see to it that 2 things happen. First off, the Perfect Event and Chris Kanyon will be suspended for 3 months without pay, and secondly, Jarrett, you'll lose your title.

(Crowd pops as Jarrett has a look of disbelief.)

Jarrett: YOU CAN'T DO THIS---

Ryder: Oh yes I can. My name is Jake Ryder, President of the WWAW, and I'll do whatever the hell I want to. Have a good night, Jarrett.

("Jump Around" cues back up, and Ryder leaves to a big pop. Jarrett isn't too happy.)

Rutherford: Ryder has told Jarrett not to interfere in Norton's match tonight against Steve Corino! Jarrett is not wrestling tonight, but I don't think we've seen the last of him quite yet.

(We go backstage, where Goldberg is pulling up into the arena on his motorcycle! Goodman runs over for a quick interview.)

Backstage Interview

(Jacob Goodman catches up with Bill Goldberg.)

Goodman: Goldberg, tonight you face Michael Modest.

Goldberg: And?

Goodman: Just wanted to know what you feel about this match.

Goldberg: I'll feel pretty sad after I get done kicking this runt's ass.

(Goldberg picks up the pace towards the locker rooms, and Goodman is left in his tracks.)

Rutherford: Looks like Goldberg is ready. So are we! Let's go to the ring for the opening match!

Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("The Kings" plays, and the crowd gives no reaction as Jesse James comes out.)

Smith: Jesse James!

(James slides into the ring and waits for his very formidable opponent.)

Smith: And his opponent...

("Machinehead" plays, and Mantaur comes out to boos.)

Smith: Mantaur!

(Mantaur slowly walks to the ring, and enters.)

Jesse James
vs.
Mantaur

The Good: Mantaur was so pumped up about confronting Goldberg, that he really showed it in this match, surprising Jesse James.

The Bad: Jesse James was surprised at the quicker pace of Mantaur, and couldn't really keep up, hitting sloppy moves and pissing the crowd off.

The Finish:	Mantaur made short work of James, hitting the Stampede for the win in just over 6 minutes.

Mantaur pinned Jesse James with the Stampede in 0:06:02.
Rating: -** 1/4

Mantaur was leaving the ring and heading towards the back, but Goldberg popped up, still in jacket and glasses. He proceeded to slug it out with Mantaur, and they went at it for a while before security had to break it up. The fans were chanting "Goldberg", making Mantaur irate.

Rutherford: It doesn't seem that Mantaur and Goldber can keep their hands off each other!

Backstage Interview

(Jacob Goodman is with Michael Modest.)

Goodman: Michael Modest, we know that later tonight, you will be facing Bill Goldberg. However, most of us are wondering why you attacked Chris Jericho on Tuesday.

Modest: I did it because of one reason. I don't like Jericho. I think he has too much of an ego and when he said "Try and Break Down The Walls of Jericho", I figured that I could do that. So I made him eat his words, and also eat my boot as I stomped away at him.

Goodman: Do you expect retaliation later tonight?

Modest: Should I care?

Goodman: I don't know.

Modest: I won't concern myself with that egomaniac.

(Modest walks off.)

Rutherford: So Modest has a problem with Jericho's ego! What will Jericho's reaction to this be? We'll find out hopefully later. Right now, let's go to the ring for the next match.

Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("Intergalactic" by the Beastie Boys plays, and Al Snow comes out to little to no reaction.)

Smith: Al Snow!

(Snow enters the ring and waits for his opponent.)

Smith: And his opponent...

("The Game" plays, and Chavo Guerrero Jr. comes out to cheers from the crowd.)

Smith: Chavo Guerrero Jr.

(Chavo runs down to the ring and quickly starts his match with Al Snow.)

Al Snow
vs.
Chavo Guerrero Jr.

The Good: Both men worked their butts off in this match. Many near falls, many high impact moves, and the crowd was just enjoying it as it went along.

The Bad: Nothing.

The Finish: In one of the most awesome reversals ever, Chavo reversed the Snow Plow into a small package, but only got two. He then whipped Snow into the turnbuckle, and hit the Tornado DDT and got the pin for the win!

Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Al Snow with the Tornado DDT in 0:13:27.
Rating: *** 1/4

After the match, Chavo celebrates, but from the crowd and from behind comes Corino, who catches Chavo on the turnbuckles, and manages to prop him up enough to hit a top-rope powerbomb! The crowd boos as Corino tells the fans to kiss his ass, and then leaves, as Chavo is left out cold in the middle of the ring.

Rutherford: Whattamove by Steve Corino! Chavo won't be getting up from that anytime soon.

Backstage Interview

(Jacob Goodman is with Chris Kanyon.)

Goodman: Kanyon, you face Buff Bagwell tonight for a chance to advance in the WWAW Number One Contender Tournament for a chance to face the winner of Steve Corino and Scott Norton, which just happens to be later in the night. What are your thoughts?

Kanyon: I think that Jarrett and the Perfect Event have my back, should anything go *laughs* wrong.

(Kanyon walks off as we go to commercial.)

(Commercials)

(Back from commercials.)

Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("Judgement Day" plays, and the crowd boos as Perry Saturn comes out.)

Smith: Perry Saturn!

(Saturn enters the ring as he awaits his opponent.)

Smith: And his opponent...

(An instrumental version of Genesis' "Land Of Confusion" confuses the fans. They don't know who it is, but then someone steps through the curtains. He looks Japanese, but we don't know for sure. We get a name...)

Smith: Toshiaki Kawada!

(The fans don't know how to react, and Kawada enters the ring for the match.)

Perry Saturn
vs.
Toshiaki Kawada

The Good: Though no one expected much, Kawada surprised them all by hitting some awesome moves. Saturn, not to be outdone, answered with some impressive moves of his own.

The Bad: Saturn couldn't really impress the fans.

The Finish: Saturn went for his version of the Brain Buster... but it was reversed into a sick Brain Buster by Kawada! Kawada covers! ONE, TWO, THREE!

Toshiaki Kawada pinned Perry Saturn with the Brain Buster in 0:10:21.
Rating: ***

After the match, the crowd loved it, so the cheered wildly for Kawada!

Rutherford: What a match between these two! Kawada's got more kick than a gallon of tequila! Our next match is a WWAW Tournament Match!

Smith: This match is a second round match in the WWAW Number One Contender Tournament. Introducing first...

("We Be Clubbin'" plays, and Buff Bagwell comes out to a small pop.)

Smith: Buff Bagwell!

(Bagwell enters the ring, and awaits his opponent.)

Smith: And his opponent...

("Where The River Flows" plays, and the crowd boos as Chris Kanyon comes out with the Perfect Event!)

Smith: Accompanied by the Perfect Event...Chris Kanyon!

(Kanyon enters the ring, and the Perfect Event stays on the outside.)

WWAW #1 Contender Tournament
Round 2
Buff Bagwell
vs.
Chris Kanyon

The Good: The crowd didn't like Kanyon, so when he taunted the crowd, the crowd booed in response. Buff Bagwell was a huge face in this match, as he got pops for close falls.

The Bad: The wrestling wasn't that great.

The Finish: Bagwell hit a double underhook DDT, and then called for the Blockbuster, and as he went for it as Kanyon stumbled to his feet, he stumbled backwards, caught Bagwell by the legs, and hit a vicious powerbomb. He then picked him up and hit him with the Flatliner for the win.

[WWAW Tournament - Round 2]:
Chris Kanyon pinned Buff Bagwell with the Flatliner in 0:07:05.
Rating: ** 1/2

After the match, the crowd wasn't too happy, and expressed their feelings. Kanyon left to a big round of boos.

Rutherford: So Kanyon will advance to face the winner of Norton and Corino! Now, after Doring and Roadkill's brutal attack on the Hardyz on Monday, the doctors said that the Hardyz should be alright to fight tonight. However, Doring and Roadkill was not happy when they heard this news, and started tearing up their locker room because they couldn't get the job done. So President Ryder gave them a shot to get popular with the fans, and that was to beat Vampiro and Muta for the Tag Titles. So, here's that match!

Smith: This match is a non-title tag team match scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("Natural One" plays, and Danny Doring and Roadkill come down to the ring to boos.)

Smith: Danny Doring and Roadkill!

(They slide into the ring, and await their opponents.)

Smith: And their opponents...

("House of Horrors" plays, and the lights go out in the arena, except for the spotlight, which shines on Vamp and Muta, carrying the WWAW Tag Team Titles. The crowd cheers for them.)

Smith: They are the WWAW Tag Team Champions, Vampiro and The Great Muta!

(Vampiro and Muta enter the ring, and blow mist into the air before the lights in the arena kick back on.)

Non-Title Match
Danny Doring and Roadkill
vs.
Vampiro and The Great Muta

The Good: Both teams impressed the fans with great teamwork, and quick tags in an out. Double team moves were all over the place, and were hard to avoid.

The Bad: Nothing.

The Finish: Muta misted Roadkill with the ref's back turned, because he was focusing on Vampiro hitting Doring with the Nail In The Coffin! No pin save here, as the champs pick up the win!

No-Time-Limit-Non-Title-Match:
Vampiro and The Great Muta defeated Danny Doring and Roadkill when Vampiro
pinned Doring with the Nail In the Coffin in 0:15:33.
Rating: * 1/4

Rutherford: Nice match between these two teams... when we return from break, we'll have Steve Corino vs. Scott Norton, so don't go away!

(Commercials)

Rutherford: Let's go to the ring for the next match.

Smith: This match is a second round match in the WWAW number one contender tournament. Introducing first.

("Come With Me" plays, and the crowd boos as Steve Corino comes out. He's still telling the fans to kiss his ass, apparently.)

Smith: Steve Corino!

(Corino slides into the ring, and awaits his opponent.)

Smith: And his opponent...

("Fuel" plays, and Scott Norton comes down to the ring to a big pop!)

Smith: Scott Norton!

(Norton slides into the ring, and goes into a staredown with Corino.)

WWAW #1 Contender Tournament
Round 2
Steve Corino
vs.
Scott Norton

The Good: Though this had potential to be a good match, and was for the first few minutes, the last few were a definite letdown.

The Bad: The Finish...

The Finish: Corino hit the Superkick, and signaled for the Old School Expulsion! Chavo~! then showed up with a baseball bat! He can't hit Corino, or Corino will win the match and advance..! Chavo enters the ring while Corino has Norton in the Old School Expulsion set up... CHAVO HITS NORTON~!!!!!
THE REF RINGS THE BELL!

[WWAW Tournament - Round 2]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Scott Norton defeated Steve Corino by disqualification in 0:08:54.
Rating: 1/4*

The crowd doesn't like the result and starts chanting "BULLSHIT", but those chants are ignored by both Chavo and Corino... they stare each other down, and then Corino talks trash. Chavo talks trash back, and Corino shoves Chavo..and there they go at it again! Norton is up! Norton takes both men...and double chokeslams them! The crowd explodes into cheers as Norton raises his hands in the air, his trademark victory symbol!

Smith: Your winner via disqualification, SCOTT NORTON!

The crowd goes crazy, and Norton leaves the ring with Corino and Chavo in a heap.

Rutherford: In one of the more controversial endings to a tournament match so far, it wasn't Jeff Jarrett or the Perfect Event who interfered in this one, but Chavo Guerrero Jr.! And this night isn't even over with!

BACKSTAGE INCIDENT(!!!)

(Backstage, Norton is laid out. Security is holding back a pissed off Jarrett. Shards of once-guitar surround Norton's body, and security tries to keep Jarrett from causing further damage.)

Rutherford: Jarrett attacked Norton! Though that situation is strange, there is one team who seems to be a marked team. The Perfect Event. Kronic isn't really on their good sides right now, and I have a feeling that this match tonight with the not-100% Hardyz will be a very dangerous one for the Perfect Event. After Tuesday's fiasco, with the Perfect Event running in to get Vampiro and Muta the win, Kronic was said to be "very pissed off." We'll just have to see what happens.

Smith: This match is a tag match scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("The Stroke" plays, and the Perfect Event comes out with Kanyon AND Jarrett!)

Smith: Accompanied by Chris Kanyon and WWAW World Champion Jeff Jarrett, the Perfect Event!

(All 4 men slide into the ring and raise their hands in the air in unison.)

Smith: And their opponents...

("Anthem for the Year 2000" plays, and the Hardyz come out to a big pop from the fans! However, without Lita, the fans aren't really happy (especially the males))

Smith: The Hardyz!

(They slide into the ring, and the Perfect Event attack them as the match begins!)

The Hardyz
vs.
Perfect Event

The Good: Both teams had motivation to put on a good show tonight. And they did.

The Bad: Nothing

The Finish: Jeff was hit with a release German suplex by Stasiak, and Palumbo racked Matt on the top rope as he went for a high-flying move. Palumbo then grabbed Matt and put him in the Torture Rack! Matt tapped, and the Perfect Event got the win!

No-Time-Limit-Match:
The Perfect Event defeated The Hardyz when Palumbo made M. Hardy submit to the
Torture Rack in 0:09:42.
Rating: ** 1/4

After the match, Danny Doring and Roadkill came down, and all 4 stomped away, until...

"Guilty" cued up, and Kronic started to run down to the ring, clearing out all 4 men.. Kronic stayed behind to check on the Hardyz... but then gave them both High Times! The crowd was shocked at this, and Kronic was pissed! They left the ring almost immediately!

Rutherford: Well, Kronic got their revenge on the Hardyz, but they missed out on getting to the Perfect Event! We gotta take a break, but when we come back, it'll be Bill Goldberg against Michael Modest. Don't miss it, it's next!

(Commercials)

Rutherford: Welcome back. The final four will be held on this upcoming Tuesday's Turbo. Two weeks from now on Tuesday, we will have the finals of this tournament. As of right now, Scott Norton will take on Chris Kanyon and the other match will be the winner of Rikishi and Jericho against the winner of Matt Hardy and Bill Goldberg! So don't miss some great action, this Tuesday, only on WWAW Turbo! Now, let's go to the ring for the introductions to the main event!

Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("Blue Monday" plays, and Michael Modest comes out to the ring to boos.)

Smith: Michael Modest!

(Modest stands near the ring...)

Smith: And his opponent...

("Crush 'Em" plays, and Bill Goldberg comes out to a huge pop!)

Smith: Bill Goldberg!

(Modest hasn't even entered the ring yet, and Goldberg attacks him and throws him in to begin the main event!)

Main Event
Michael Modest
vs.
Bill Goldberg

The Good: The crowd was pumped for this, and got pissed at Michael when he said "PHILADELPHIA SUCKS" and then Goldberg would hit a big power move on Modest, omitting a big pop from the crowd.

The Bad: Nothing.

The Finish: After a brutal kick to the head, Goldberg got in position to spear Modest. However, when Goldberg charged, Modest got to his senses, and tried to hop the spear...only to have Goldberg pull him down and hit a hard-looking spinebuster slam to get the win!

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Bill Goldberg pinned Michael Modest after a spinebuster slam in 0:07:40.
Rating: * 1/4

The crowd popped big time for Goldberg as he celebrated. Chris Jericho came down, and attacked Michael Modest... then, from UNDER THE RING... Mantaur showed up and clubbed Goldberg in the back while he was celebrating on the turnbuckles! Mantaur quickly ran under the ropes and disappeared, and Goldberg turned around to glare at Jericho. He jumped off the turnbuckles, and hit Jericho with a spear! He thought Jericho did it! The show ends with Goldberg pissed off.

WWAW Week In Review
Aired 3/11/2001

(The President walks down to the ring to a big pop!)

Rutherford: What is he doing here? It's the President of WWAW again, Jake Ryder!

(Ryder has a mic as he enters the ring.)

Ryder: This should be a very interesting match. Two of the best teams the WWAW has to offer will be facing off tonight. However, to ref this match, we don't need just a regular referee. I'll introduce him later, but I'll let Robert here announce the teams first.

(Ryder hands the mic over to Smith.)

Smith: This match is a non-title tag team match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...

("Guilty" plays, and Kronic comes down to the ring to a round of boos.)

Smith: Kronic!

(Kronic enters the ring together, and waits for their opponents.)

Smith: And their opponents...

("House of Horrors" plays, and the arena goes dark, and then a spotlight focuses over the entryway...and the crowd gives a mixed reaction to Vampiro and the Great Muta! Vamp and Muta come down to the ring.)

Smith: They are the WWAW World Tag Team Champions, Vampiro and the Great Muta!

(They enter the ring, and, as Kronic stands on the outside, Vampiro and Muta spit mist at the same time! The mist shines in the spotlight that followed the team all the way down to the ring, and the lights come back on, and then Ryder gets the mic again.)

Ryder: Now, let me introduce our guest referee. In World Championship Wrestling, he was a 3 time World Champion, a 6 time Television Champion, a US Heavyweight Champion, but the most important credential, and the reason I brought him in, a 10 time tag team champion... BOOKER T!

("Party Up" by DMX plays, and the crowd explodes as Booker T comes out in a ref shirt! He comes down to the ring, shaking hands with fans as he enters the ring. The bell rings...)

Non-Title Match
with Special Guest Referee Booker T
Kronic
vs.
Vampiro and The Great Muta

The Good: Booker T was fair, and the match was amazing, with Vamp and Muta hitting impressive high-flying and martial arts moves, and Kronic hitting the power moves to match! There were a lot of close falls here, and both teams went all out to capture a win!

The Bad: The finish left something to be desired from a great match like this.

The Finish: Kronic hits the High Times on both Vampiro and Muta, but the Perfect Event runs down and attacks Kronic! AND BOOKER T LETS IT GO! Vamp gets to his feet, and hits Bryan Clark with the Nail In The Coffin!
Booker T counts the pin... ONE, TWO, THREE!!!!

No-Time-Limit-Non-Title-Match with Special Referee Booker T:
Vampiro and The Great Muta defeated Kronic when Vampiro pinned Clark with the
Nail In the Coffin in 0:17:53.
Rating: * 1/4

The crowd goes crazy as Booker T raises the hands of Vamp and Muta! The Perfect Event runs off, with Kronic chasing close behind!

Smith: This match is a non-title match scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("Cowboy" plays, and the crowd boos as Jeff Jarrett comes down to the ring with the Perfect Event! He has a guitar over his shoulder, and the WWAW World Title around his waist.)

Smith: He is the WWAW World Champion, Jeff Jarrett!

(Jarrett enters the ring and gives his guitar to Stasiak and his title to Palumbo and then awaits his opponent.)

Smith: And his opponent...

(It seems like an eternity, but finally, "Rock Superstar" by Cypress Hill, the old theme for All Star Wrestling, kicks up... and the crowd is going crazy, assuming that this guy hired by Ryder is obviously someone who is going to beat the hell out of Jarrett... and... it's CHRIS BENOIT. The fans go crazy, apeshit, and loony all at the same time. Jarrett has a look of, for once, fear in his eyes, and Benoit saunters to the ring. He has a very serious look in his face, and it's clear he's going to be kicking some ass tonight. The Perfect Event, standing at ringside near the entryway, clear the way for Benoit, and Benoit enters the ring.)

Smith: Chris Benoit!

Non-Title Match
Jeff Jarrett
vs.
Chris Benoit

The Good: Are you kidding? This match was awesome. Jarrett and Benoit put on a show for the crowd, and they ate it all up, considering they were let down horribly by the previous 2 matches. Benoit nearly locked on the Crossface many times, and Jarrett almost hit the Stroke many times. However, they were so close, that the crowd gasped and "Ohh"'d whenever an attempt fell short.

The Bad: No..

The Finish: Benoit goes for the rolling German suplexes, but Jarrett elbows him before he gets one off, and then manages to hit a jawbreaker on Benoit. Jarrett picks up Benoit off the mat and into the air, and drops him on the turnbuckle. Jarrett scales the ropes, and goes for his top-rope DDT, but Benoit punches Jarrett off. Jarrett lands sideways, and Benoit gets to his feet... FLYING HEADBUTT! Benoit nails the shoulder of Jarrett, and both men are down... they both get to their feet at the same time... Jarrett hits a drop-toe hold on Benoit... Jarrett picks up Benoit for the Stroke... what the hell...Benoit with a rolling drop toe hold out of the Stroke into the Crippler Crossface! In the middle of the ring! Jarrett has nowhere to go! Here comes the Perfect Event! Benoit releases the Crippler Crossface! He attacks both members of the Perfect Event! There goes Stasiak over the top! And Palumbo! Jarrett is to his feet, and has his guitar! He swings... countered with another drop toe hold! Crossface! Jarrett taps immediately!

No-Time-Limit-Non-Title-Match:
Chris Benoit made Jeff Jarrett submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:09:29.
Rating: ***

The crowd goes nuts as Benoit celebrates with the crowd. The Perfect Event enters the ring, however, and nails Benoit from behind. They double team Benoit.

"Fuel" plays, and Norton runs down to the ring, and clears the Perfect Event out. Norton checks on Benoit, and then sees that Jarrett has no one to help him. Norton picks up Jarrett... signals for the Powerbomb...but here comes Chris Kanyon! Kanyon clobbers Norton from behind with a steel pipe! Norton is out!! Jarrett has backup! Kanyon and Jarrett attack Norton as the show ends.
