WWAW All Star Wrestling
Taped 3/14/2001
Aired 3/16/2001

(We see clips from Turbo, including Jeff Jarrett and the Perfect Event's attack on Kanyon, Norton defeating Kanyon, and Goldberg defeating Chris Jericho.)

("Sway" brings us into Connecticut for All Star Wrestling! The fans are jacked, and they are ready for some WWAW action!)

Rutherford: Welcome, to All Star Wrestling! Tonight, in the main event, the Perfect Event will take on Scott Norton and Chavo Guerrero Jr., and lots lots more! Also, President Ryder will announce two other matches for the upcoming PPV on March 25th, Catastrophe! Let's go to the ring for the first match.

Smith: This is a tag team non-title match, scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...

("Guilty" plays, and the crowd gives a little face pop to Kronic as they come down to the ring. They are both sporting black outfits, and enter the ring.)

Smith: Kronic!

("House of Horrors" plays, and the crowd pops huge for the appearance of Vampiro and The Great Muta, with their WWAW Tag Team Belts! Vampiro is only wearing black pants, and Muta is also in black pants. He blows mist into the air, and the duo runs towards the ring.)

Smith: And their opponents... Vampiro and ---

(Smith is cut off by Kronic meeting up with Vamp and Muta in the ring.)

Non-Title Match
Kronic
vs.
Vampiro and The Great Muta

The Good: In the past, these two teams have put on some good matches. This match was no exception. Both teams poured their hearts out into this match, and gave it their all.

The Bad: We've seen this match so many times, there weren't too many new spots to rave about, besides a double chokeslam on Vampiro when he was racked on the top rope.

The Finish: After that said spot, Adams and Clark called for the end, which was to hit Muta, who was out from a pumphandle Slam by Clark, with the High Times. However, the Perfect Event ran out, attacked Kronic from behind, and ran off quickly. What was the ref doing? Checking on Vampiro, who complained of pains to the ref. The PE had managed to knock out Clark, and left Adams prone. Muta sized Adams up, and as Adams turned around..GREEN MIST! Vampiro rolls to the outside, and the ref turns around to see Muta pinning Adams for the 3!

No-Time-Limit-Non-Title-Match:
Vampiro and The Great Muta defeated Kronic when Muta pinned B. Adams with his
 special move in 0:10:51.
Rating: **

After the match, Vamp and Muta got their belts and tried to get out of there, but the lights went out in the arena... when they came back on, Vamp and Muta were laid out!

Rutherford: !!! Vampiro and The Great Muta were laid out as the lights went out in the arena! Remember, fans, this duo pulled the same trick on many teams. Could this be payback from another team that previously knew Vamp and Muta??? Anyways, let's go backstage, where I understand that Danny Doring, Roadkill, and Mantaur are with Jacob Goodman.

Backstage Interview

(Danny Doring, Roadkill, and Mantaur are with Jacob Goodman.)

Goodman: Doring, Roadkill, Mantaur, later tonight you will face the team of the Hardyz and Bill Goldberg. Mantaur, there's a good chance that Goldberg will want to get his hands on you tonight---

Mantaur: Of course he will, Jacob! He can't resist the thought of beating me up. Unfortunately, I don't think he knows who he is dealing with. Goldberg, I am 450 pounds of man. If you even get close to me, I'll rip your head off. It's as simple as that. And if you think you can sick your little buddies the Hardyz on me, then I got a little backup.. *points to Doring and Roadkill*.. so hit me with your best shot, Goldberg.

(The group walks off, as we go back to the ring.)

Smith: This match is a no-time-limit triangle match scheduled for one fall... Introducing first...

("We Be Clubbin'" plays, and the crowd gives a few cheers to Buff Bagwell as he comes down to the ring.)

Smith: Buff Bagwell!

(Bagwell, in plain black tights, taunts the crowd, and then waits for his opponent.)

Smith: And his opponent...

("Land of Confusion" plays, and Toshiaki Kawada comes down to the ring to cheers from the American fans. They really appreciate the Japanese wrestler...)

Smith: Toshiaki Kawada!

(Kawada enters the ring, and stands in the opposite corner as Bagwell, as they wait for...)

Smith: And their opponent...

("Sleep Now In The Fire" plays, and the crowd cheers like crazy as Jericho stands in his cruicifix position and then starts a trot down to the ring.)

Smith: Chris Jericho!

(Jericho enters the ring and immediately goes after Bagwell, beginning the match!)

Triangle Match
Buff Bagwell
vs.
Toshiaki Kawada
vs.
Chris Jericho

The Good: These 3 men have great athletic ability. Though one of them is a newcomer to the WWAW, in Kawada, the other 2 make up for it with their veteran expertise in the ring.

The Bad: There wasn't much to be said about bad things and this match. However, the main complaint was that Bagwell seemed to be a little more stiff with his punches and chops than usual.

The Finish: Since it was an elimination match, Jericho went for the kill against Kawada. He went for a Frankensteiner, but Kawada caught him and dropped him hard for a big power bomb. ONE, TWO, THREE! Jericho is eliminated!

No-Time-Limit-Triangle Match:
x Kawada beat Chris Jericho via a power bomb in 0:08:39

After that pinfall, Bagwell and Kawada went at it. Back and forth they went, and it seemed to go on for no end, until finally, Buff hit a big double underhook DDT, and then hit the Buff Blockbuster for the win.

x Bagwell beat Kawada via the Buff Blockbuster in 0:17:21
Rating: ** 3/4

No-Time-Limit-Triangle Match:

x Bagwell beat Kawada via the Buff Blockbuster in 0:17:21
Rating: ** 3/4

After the match, Bagwell celebrated, as Kawada got to his feet after the Blockbuster and shook hands with Buff. The fans applauded the effort from Bagwell and even Kawada, and so did Rutherford.

Rutherford: Wow! What a match! I don't know what can top that, but we'll find out later tonight. Right now, we gotta take a break, but when we come back, Chris Benoit will take on Rikishi Phatu, so don't go away!

(Commercials)

As we come back, Rutherford informs us of something.

Rutherford: I have just been informed that Jake Ryder called from the WWAW offices and wanted to talk to me ASAP.... *phone call connects* so President Ryder, how is it going?

Ryder: It's going great, Trent. I wanted to talk about the Pay Per View coming up in almost a week's time. I have two matches to announce for that. First off, Steve Corino, who is, without a doubt, the best wrestler WWAW has, will take on Chavo Guerrero Jr.

(Crowd pops, as they are also hearing this phone call.)

Ryder: Also, I have signed this match for the show. The Hardyz will take on Danny Doring and Roadkill!

(Crowd pops for that match.)

Ryder: I'll be in attendance at Turbo this upcoming Tuesday, so I'll see you there.

*Phone Call Disconnects*

Rutherford: There you have it, folks! Two more matches have been signed to the Catastrophe show! Danny Doring and Roadkill will be taking on the Hardyz, and Steve Corino will face Chavo Guerrero Jr.! Now, let's go to the ring for the next match.

Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall... Introducing first...

("Greyhound Pt. 2" plays, and Rikishi comes down to the ring to a chorus of boos.)

Smith: Rikishi!

(Rikishi enters the ring and waits for his opponent... "Got a lot of...sharks out there..."... "Rock Superstar" plays, and the crowd explodes as Benoit comes out. He has that trademark smirk on his face, and walks towards the ring.)

Smith: And his opponent... Chris Benoit!

(Benoit enters the ring and gets ready for the match.)

Rikishi Phatu
vs.
Chris Benoit

The Good: Benoit and Phatu put on a good show.

The Bad: It didn't last long...

The Finish: Though the crowd was expecting a Benoit win, Rikishi elbowed his way out of the rolling German suplexes, turned around, picked up a dazed Benoit, slumped Benoit over Rikishi's shoulder, and Rikishi then dropped Benoit on his head with the Rikishi Driver! He went for the cover, and got the pinfall!

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Rikishi Phatu pinned Chris Benoit with the Rikishi Driver in 0:05:57.
Rating: * 1/4

After the match, the lights went out AGAIN, as Rikishi was leaving! When they came back on, Rikishi was laid out! Benoit had a smirk on his face as he looked to the rafters! Who's there?

Rutherford: Could Benoit be in on these attacks on the team of Vampiro and The Great Muta, and now Rikishi? We'll just have to see. Let's go backstage with Jacob Goodman.

Backstage Interview

(Jacob Goodman is with Bill Goldberg and the Hardyz.)

Goodman: Goldberg, Jeff, Matt, not too long from now, you three will face the team of Danny Doring, Roadkill, and Mantaur. Goldberg, what do you think of the threats that Mantaur was sending to you earlier in the night?

Goldberg: Naturally, I'm not worried about it. Because I now want a match with Mantaur at Catastrophe. It is what I have been waiting for for a long time. Ever since Mantaur cost me that match at Deadly Sins, I've wanted to get my hands on him, one-on-one, in the middle of the ring. It may not happen tonight, but it just may... you never know... oh, and if Doring and Roadkill have any sneaky plans waiting for me, I'll be happy to get the Hardyz to kick their asses!

(Goldberg and the Hardyz walk off, as we go back to the ring for the next match.)

Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first..

("Judgement Day" plays, and Perry Saturn comes down to the ring to little to no reaction.)

Smith: Perry Saturn!

(Saturn enters the ring in black and purple tights, and waits for his opponent... "Intergalactic" plays, and Al Snow comes down to the ring to a large amount of boos. He stops short of the ring, and takes out a mic from his tights.)

Snow: It's great to be in Connecticut! I really mean it!

(Large pop from the crowd, though Snow is...)

Snow: I mean, what's better than a regular toilet? How about this toilet of a state?

(Pop turned to boos really quick...)

Snow: But I'll beat the hell out of this idiot and then leave town, because I can't stand it in this horrible place they call an arena, in this horrific city, in this piss-poor state.

(The crowd boos as Snow runs to the ring. Saturn meets him at the entrance and beats the crap out of him as the bell rings and the crowd cheers!)

Perry Saturn
vs.
Al Snow

The Good: After Snow turned against the fans, his wrestling improved. He really took it to Saturn...

The Bad: ...and Saturn couldn't do anything impressive in response. His lack of wrestling skill really showed tonight.

The Finish: Saturn was no competition for Snow, as Snow just basically held him off and hit the Snow Plow for the win.

Al Snow pinned Perry Saturn with the Snow Plow in 0:09:17.
Rating: ** 3/4

After the match, Snow left the arena, flipping off the fans as he went backstage.

Rutherford: That Al Snow, I hate him! He turned his back against the fans and is now being a complete ass****!

(After a while, Rutherford regains his composure.)

Rutherford: We'll be right back.

(Commercials)

As we return from commercial, it's time for the six-man tag match.

Smith: This match is a six-man tag team match scheduled for one fall. Introducing first..

("Natural One" plays, and the crowd boos, as Danny Doring and Roadkill come down to the ring.)

Smith: Danny Doring and Roadkill!

(Doring and Roadkill enter the ring, and wait for their partner..."Machinehead" plays, and the crowd gives more boos to Mantaur as he comes out and comes down to the ring.)

Smith: And their partner... Mantaur!

(Mantaur enters the ring and then talks strategy with Doring and Roadkill. As "Anthem for the Year 2000" plays, Mantaur asks for a mic and stops the Hardyz.)

Mantaur: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Jeff, Matt, calm down. We want to show you something.

(Mantaur guides them to the WWAW-Tron, where we see the door of Goldberg's locker room... but a forklift is blocking it! Goldberg is screaming, trying to get out of there in rage, but with no success.)

Mantaur: Now, Jeff, Matt, come down to this ring and try to beat us.

(Jeff and Matt look at each other, and then run towards the ring...the ref rings the bell!

Danny Doring, Roadkill and Mantaur
vs.
Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, and Goldberg (in a locker room trapped with a forklift)

The Good: The crowd stayed in this match, and chanted many times for "Goldberg"... high-flying spots from both teams were pretty nice.

The Bad: Mantaur had trouble keeping up with the speed of the Hardyz and Doring/Roadkill, but managed to put on a good match.

The Finish: Doring hits a powerbomb and hits the Danaconda, but as he goes for the cover on Jeff, Matt breaks the pin. Roadkill and Mantaur rush over, and all 5 men are in the ring, with the ref trying to restore order... suddenly...Chris Jericho appears on the WWAW-Tron!

Jericho: Hey Mantaur! I got a present for you!

Jericho is on the forklift! He is running it in reverse, and the locker room door is no longer blocked! Goldberg lets out a almost scary scream, and busts through the door, almost knocking it off of its hinges.

Jericho: Enjoy, buddy!

Jericho smiles as Goldberg comes down to the ring! Mantaur can't believe what is happening and is trying to get away, but the Hardyz are keeping them back! Doring and Roadkill fight them off of Mantaur... but it's too late! "Crush 'Em" plays, and here comes Goldberg! He runs down the aisle, slides in and sizes up Doring... SPEAR~! Matt is laid out in the ring, and he's getting up! Mantaur has slid into the ring behind Matt from the opposite side of the ring, and Matt doesn't even see Mantaur behind him, as Matt is checking on Jeff! Mantaur rolls up Matt.. 1, 2, 3....it's over!!!
