Rutherford: Jarrett is definitely ready for Norton tonight, and that match isn't too far away. However, let's go to the ring for the next match.
Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first...
("Blue Monday" plays, and the crowd boos as Michael Modest comes down to the ring.)
Smith: Michael Modest!
(Modest enters the ring, and awaits his opponent... "Greyhound Pt. 2" plays, and the crowd cheers as Rikishi comes out.)
Smith: And his opponent.... Rikishi!
(Rikishi enters the ring, and gets ready for the match.)
Michael Modest
vs.
Rikishi
The Good: Modest has been the silent one, but has managed to be impressive in the ring in all of his matches, including his recent match with Chris Jericho.
The Bad: Rikishi has had no motivation as of late, and therefore, doesn't have much motivation to put on an impressive match in the ring, dragging down the quality of the match.
The Finish: Rikishi went for a second-rope Banzai Drop, but he missed completely, and Modest grabbed Rikishi as Rikishi got to his feet and dropped him with a DDT. Modest went for the cover and got the 3 count!
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Michael Modest pinned Rikishi Phatu after a DDT in 0:03:18.
Rating: 1/4*
After this surprisingly short match, Modest celebrated, taunting the fans while they jeered him. Modest then left the ring and went to the backstage area.
Rutherford: Well, Michael Modest has picked up an impressive win over Rikishi tonight. Well, up next is the WWAW World Heavyweight Title match. But first, Jacob Goodman is backstage.
Backstage Interview
(Jacob Goodman is with Scott Norton.)
Goodman: Norton, up next, you are going to face Jeff Jarrett for the WWAW World Heavyweight Title. With the stipulation that the Perfect Event cannot interfere or they will be fired along with Jarrett, are your chances boosted of winning the title tonight?
Norton: Jacob, on Sunday, I made a big mistake. I went easy on Jarrett. Because I couldn't stand to see getting his ass kicked so much by me. When I went easy on him, he took advantage of me and won the match. However, Jarrett, there will be no mercy tonight. I plan on kicking your ass and then some. You will feel my pain, and you will be my bitch.
(Norton leaves, on his way to try and win the WWAW World Heavyweight Title.)
Goodman: Let's go to the ring for the introductions.
Smith: This match is scheduled for one fall, and is for the WWAW World Heavyweight Title. Introducing first...
("Fuel" plays, and the crowd explodes as Scott Norton comes down to the ring with a look of determination on his face.)
Smith: The challenger...Scott Norton!
(Norton enters the ring, and throws up his arms to the crowd to a big pop...."Cowboy" plays, and the crowd explodes into boos as Jeff Jarrett walks out, alone, with the guitar on the left shoulder and the WWAW title strapped around his right. He walks down to the ring as the boos continue.)
Smith: And his opponent....and WWAW World Heavyweight Champion....Jeff Jarrett!!!
(Jarrett enters the ring and immediately goes face to face with Scott Norton, as Norton easily stares Jarrett down.)
Main Event
WWAW World Heavyweight Title Match
Scott Norton
vs.
Jeff Jarrett
The Good: This was like Sunday's match. The crowd was absolutely into the match, and there wasn't a dead moment in the crowd. A good example of this was a sleeperhold locked on Norton mid-match by Jarrett. The crowd stayed alive and got behind Norton, allowing Norton to fight his way out of the move.
The Bad: Considering that this match was nothing new, it took away from the quality of the match.
The Finish: Norton kicks Jarrett in the gut, lifts him up for the Powerbomb, but Jarrett slips out from behind! Jarrett goes for a back suplex, but he can't lift Norton up, and Norton reverses it into a snapmare takeover. Norton then stomps on the small of the back of Jarrett, and then hit a elbowdrop on Jarrett. Norton then called for the end, and wanted to go for the Powerbomb. He tried to lift up Jarrett, but Jarrett somehow blocked it, and went down to his knees, and hit Norton with a low blow, dazing Norton. This allowed Jarrett enough time to recover, and grabbed him and hit the STROKE~! Jarrett goes for the cover.
ONE...
TWO...
THREE! NO! NO DAMNIT! NO!
No-Time-Limit-Match:
Jeff Jarrett pinned Scott Norton with the Stroke in 0:09:05.
Rating: **
(Jeff Jarrett retained the WWAW World Heavyweight Title.)
After the match, the crowd exploded into boos and threw trash into the ring, almost pelting Jarrett many, many times. Jarrett celebrated on the turnbuckle, as Norton got to his feet, emitting a big pop from the crowd. However, before Norton could reach Jarrett, the lights went out! The crowd remained cheering, but it was an even louder cheer when the lights turned on. When they turned on, Norton was standing near the turnbuckle...but Jarrett was knocked out cold, and Jarrett was bleeding heavily. Norton didn't know what had happened, and had a confused look on his face. As the show ends, we get a close-up of Jarrett's bloody, knocked out face.
