WWAW Tuesday Night Turbo
1/9/2001
(Video clips play of All Star Wrestling, including the fight between Kanyon
and Jesse James, and the main event, are shown.. these fade out and we go to
WWAW President Jake Ryder sitting at a desk, apparently in his office.)
Ryder: Fellow fans, on Monday, a superstar came to my offices and ordered
his release from my company. I was not pleased by this, and at this moment
as I speak to you, I am still not pleased. I contacted Jeff Jarrett and
informed him of this... I gave him the duty to show up on Turbo, live
from the Target Center, to deliver the news. With that in mind, enjoy
the rest of the show.
("Neckbone" plays as we are shown the opening video of Turbo. We then go
live inside the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Almost immediately,
"Cowboy" by Kid Rock plays and Jeff Jarrett comes down in street clothes,
guitar in hand. He has a very serious look on his face, slides into the
ring, and takes a mic from the ring announcer.)
Jarrett: Tonight, I was sent here by WWAW President Jake Ryder. Mr. Ryder told
me to deliver all of you, along with all of the locker room, an announcement.
(Jarrett gets a paper out of his pocket.)
Jarrett (reading): To whom it may concern. On Monday, a superstar came
to my office and asked for his release after the show on January 9th, 2001,
which is WWAW Tuesday Turbo. I granted it, reluctantly, for I feel that morale
is the most important thing in a wrestling company. However, I have plans for
tonight which will most likely affect the card. But first, let me tell
you that the man that came to me on Monday, was none other, than Steve
Austin.
(The crowd is in shock, and some boo. Jarrett continues.)
Jarrett: So, I have ruled that tonight, Steve Austin will fight in his last
match in a WWAW ring. His opponent will be Scott Norton. After tonight, Austin
will make no more appearances live on TV, but he may be used in video clips
without legal action, due to his contract saying so. Sincerely, Jake Ryder,
President of the World Wide Association of Wrestling.
(Jarrett puts the paper back into his pocket, and looks into the camera.)
Jarrett: Austin, you just couldn't handle the pressure, could you? When I started
to be a threat around here, you had to run away, just like back in the old days.
Well, you can bet that I'll be making sure to give you a going-away present. I suggest
you watch your back, though.
(KEE-RASH!!! Austin comes down to the ring and looks Jarrett in the eye, and then snatches
the mic from him.)
Austin: Jarrett, you think that I'm afraid of you? I'm the toughest son of a b**** in this
company, and I left, because I have nothing left to prove.
(Jarrett takes the mic back from him.)
Jarrett: You're nothing but a spineless bastard.
(Austin snaps and connects with a right hand on Jarrett. He gives Jarrett rapid rights and drives
him to the corner. Austin then begins to stop a mudhole in Jarrett, but Norton is coming down
to the ring! Norton slides in, and clotheslines Austin from behind! Norton picks up a
stunned Austin, and puts him in between his legs... POWERBOMB!! WHAT A POWERBOMB FROM NORTON!
Norton looks at Austin and just spits in his face. Norton and Jarrett walk off, with smiles
on their face, like this was their plan all along.)
The Perfect Event vs. Doring/Roadkill
Summary: Not much doing here for Doring and Roadkill, as they fall victim to the Perfect
Event AGAIN.
Chuck Palumbo and Shawn Stasiak defeated Danny Doring and Roadkill when Palumbo
made Roadkill submit to the Torture Rack in 0:14:34.

(Jacob Goodman is with Jesse James.)
Goodman: Jesse James, a little later you'll have a match against Steve Corino, but another
issue at hand is Chris Kanyon's match against Rikishi. Some people are wondering as to whether
or not you'll be interfering.
James: Jacob, let me tell you something. I have no reason to interfere in this match, because
it's between me and Kanyon. All of the other wrestlers are not my business... it's just me,
and Kanyon.
(James walks off as we go to commercial.)
(Commercials)
Al Snow vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.
Summary: For a man who main evented last Friday, Chavo sure wasn't showing it, and fell
victim to a dragon suplex in a surprisingly short match.
Al Snow pinned Chavo Guerrero Jr. after a dragon suplex in 0:01:48.

Interview
(Steve Corino walks down to the ring, but he's looking over his shoulder... obviously for Saturn,
who has assualted him these past two shows. Corino's paranoia carries over into the ring, where
he asks for a mic.)
Corino: Saturn, if you are in the back, or with the fans, come on out, right now, and face me,
so we can get it over with.
(Instead...)
James: OH, YOU DIDN'T KNOW? YOUR ASS BETTER CALLLLL SOMEBODYYYYYY!
(James comes down to the ring for his match against Corino.)
Jesse James vs. Steve Corino
Summary: A nice wrestling match, but the ending was definetly tainted. Corino hit a nasty
swinging neckbreaker, leaving Road Dogg down on the mat, holding his head. Corino went to
the opposite turnbuckle to celebrate, and while the ref was checking on the condition of
James, Saturn came from the fans AGAIN! He hopped up on the apron and clocked Corino with a chair,
catching Corino by surprise. Corino fell to the mat. James slowly got to his feet and went
for a cover, but only got a 2. James picked up Corino, and decided to roll him up. He got
the victory, but it can easily be credited to Saturn.
Jesse James pinned Steve Corino after a small package in 0:11:37.
Rating: * 1/2
Corino got right back up after the match, and almost flipped out. The ref tried to calm him
down, but Corino shoved him away and gave him a sick Superkick for his troubles. Corino then
left, very pissed off.
Matt Hardy vs. Brian Adams
Summary: The teammates of the competitors in the Hour 1 Main Event, Matt Hardy and Brian Adams
went at it. Adams went for a chokeslam, but Matt got a low blow in, which the ref, for some
reason, didn't see. Matt then grabbed Brian Adams and hit him with the Twist of Fate for the
definite upset victory.
Matt Hardy pinned Brian Adams with the Twist of Fate in 0:08:48.

(Jacob Goodman is with Perry Saturn.)
Goodman: Saturn, you interfered in Steve Corino's match just a few minutes ago... do you
think that revenge is on Corino's mind?
Saturn: Do you know what I think, Goodman? I think that Corino is too scared to come out
and interfere in my match, because he knows that if he does, he'll be getting one hell
of a beating.
Goodman: But-
Saturn: But NOTHING. The bottom line is that I'm going to go out there, beat Buff Bagwell,
and go back to my locker room. It's as simple as that.
(Saturn walks off as we go to commercials.)
(Commercials)
Buff Bagwell vs. Perry Saturn
Summary: Not a bad match wrestling wise... Corino came down mid-match, but when Saturn saw him,
Saturn just grinned, figuring Corino wouldn't dare do anything. And he was right. In fact, Buff
cleanly pinned Saturn after a Buff Blockbuster.
Buff Bagwell pinned Perry Saturn with the Buff Blockbuster in 0:13:26.
Rating: **
The real story came after the match, when Corino stepped in the ring, and proceeded to kick the
**** out of Saturn. Corino laid it on to Saturn, and security had to step in to break up the fight
between Corino... too bad they COULDN'T. Corino hit a Superkick to one guard, and clotheslined
two others. The other security just couldn't stop Corino... more security, including a couple of
police, finally got Corino off of Saturn for good.
Jeff Hardy vs. Bryan Clark
"Captain's Match"
Summary: This match wasn't too interesting at all, until the PERFECT EVENT came down to ringside.
When Jeff threw Clark to the outside and hit an Asai moonsault on Clark, the Perfect Event
double teamed, on Jeff, giving Jeff the DQ win. Clark heard this being announced, and went after
the Perfect Event. However, he could not handle them. Finally, Adams came down and started
battling the Perfect Event. The Hardyz joined in, but soon, they just started beating down on
Kronic.. A large number of security, once again, had to break this up.
Jeff Hardy defeated Bryan Clark by disqualification in 0:20:29.

(Jacob Goodman is with Rikishi Phatu.)
Goodman: Rikishi, coming up next is your match against Kanyon, who almost ruined your car.
Any thoughts?
Rikishi: Jacob, the only thing I'm thinking about right now is how I'm going to destroy
Kanyon. Should I hit him with the Rikishi Driver? Should I squash him like the little maggot
he is? Should I do both? We'll see, Jacob. Either way, Kanyon's gonna be in a lot of pain at
the end of the night.
(Rikishi walks off as we go to commercials.)
(Commercials.)
Interview
(Chris Kanyon comes down to the ring to Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit". He has a worried
look on his face, and grabs the mic from the ring announcer.)
Kanyon: Rikishi... I didn't mean to mess up your car... really.
(Fans start chanting "BULL****, BULL****")
Kanyon: Shut up you Minnesota rednecks!
(Boos)
Kanyon: Rikishi, come down here and shake hands with me.
(Instead, Rikishi's music hits, and Rikishi heads down to the ring.)
Rikishi vs. Chris Kanyon
Summary: Poor Chris Kanyon. He got his ass handed to him by Rikishi for most of the match.
However, when Rikishi went for the Rikishi Drop, Kanyon managed to get up and out of the way.
Rikishi missed, and Kanyon pinned him. The ref didn't see Kanyon use the ropes, and Kanyon
was declared the winner... until Road Dogg came down. He told the ref what happened, and then
the ref told the match to continue!! Kanyon was outraged and started cussing at James, who left
the ring. However, Rikishi was up, and when Kanyon turned around he was abruptly stopped by
a huge Rikishi Driver. 1-2-3, it's all academic.
Rikishi Phatu pinned Chris Kanyon with the Sitdown Piledriver in 0:11:21.

(Jacob Goodman is with Jeff Jarrett.)
Goodman: Jarre-
Jarrett: Shut up, slapnuts. I know I have a match against Chris Jericho tonight, but what YOU
need to know, is that I'm gonna give him the Stroke, and I'm gonna show him why I'm the Chosen
One. And if you can't handle it, you can choke on it, slapass.
(Jarrett walks off.)
(Commercials)
Jeff Jarrett vs. Chris Jericho
Summary: A ref bump towards the end of the match set the standard here... Jericho got hit
with a quick russian legsweep from Jarrett, and then Jarrett went to his git-fiddle...and
proceeded to play a little tune over the head of Jericho. As if that wasn't enough, Jarrett
picked Jericho up and gave him the Stroke, and woke up the ref, who counted the 1-2-3 in favor
of the self-proclaimed Chosen One.
Jeff Jarrett pinned Chris Jericho with the Stroke in 0:08:39.

(Jacob Goodman is with Stone Cold Steve Austin.)
Goodman: Austin, tonight will be your last match in the WWAW.
Austin: Shut up Goodman, I'm gonna be whipping some ass tonight, and it's not for the fans,
it's not for anyone in the back, it's all for me.
(Austin walks off, and Goodman is in shock.)

Main Event
Steve Austin vs. Scott Norton
Summary: What a match... the crowd was definetly alive for this match. Small chants of
"YOU SOLD OUT" were heard, but were often drowned out by the "AUSTIN" chants. Towards the end,
Austin went for his Lou Thesz press, but Norton kneed him in the gut... Norton went for the
Powerbomb, but Austin low blowed him, unbeknownst to the ref. Austin waited until
Norton was upright, and kicked him in the gut with a Stunner.
ONE...
TWO...
NO!!!
Norton kicks out!! Jeff Jarrett comes to ringside, with not one, but TWO GUITARS! Norton is
stumbling to his feet, and gets up... STUNNER AGAIN!! AUSTIN COVERS!!
ONE...
TWO...
JARRETT!! JEFF JARRETT!!
JARRETT JUST HIT AUSTIN WITH A GUITAR! The ref sees this and calls for the DQ, giving Austin
the win.
Steve Austin defeated Scott Norton by disqualification in 0:22:48.
Rating: * 3/4
However, this isn't important, as Jarrett takes it to Norton. Then, Norton gets up and
starts working on Austin, as well. Jarrett pounds on Austin's head. When Jarrett tells Norton
to pick up Austin, we see Austin is a bloody mess. Norton stands up Austin, Jarrett winds up...
WHAT A GUITAR SHOT!! GOOD NIGHT AUSTIN!! Shards of guitar go flying, and finally, Jarrett asks
for the mic.
Jarrett: DON'T YOU GET IT AUSTIN?!?!? YOUR ASS JUST GOT PUNKED OUT BY THE CHOSEN ONE!! NOW
GET THE **** OUT OF THIS FEDERATION! PICK HIM UP, NORTON!
Norton picks up Austin, and puts him in between his legs... wait, who's coming from the crowd?
JERICHO!! JERICHO!! Jericho clotheslines Norton off of Austin. Jarrett isn't pleased, and attacks
Jericho. Norton, still stunned, obviously doesn't see Chavo come down to the ring! Chavo slides in
the ring and irish whips Norton to the corner. Jarrett is too busy with Jericho to see Chavo
hit a big Tornado DDT on Norton! Jarrett hits a Stroke on Jericho, and then Jarrett sees Chavo!
Jarrett attacks Chavo, and he gets a Stroke as well! The carnage is ALL over the ring, as
Jarrett stands tall over all. He grabs the mic again.
Jarrett: IT'S THE CHOSEN ONE'S TIME!!
He throws down the mic and walks off, looking as mean as ever.
Close-up of Jarrett, then fade to black.
*END OF SHOW*
Not much happening in this one, except for the main event angle...
