The Smithsonian Castle The Hirshhorn Museum is just down Independence Avenue from the Castle. It is the principal repository of modern sculpture for the Smithsonian (although the National Gallery of Art, East Wing, might protest that statement. Outside the Hirshhorn is a wonderful sculpture garden. The Hirschhorn is in the background. The scultpture I will leave to your imagination. Heroic Woman
