I'M BACK!!! Yes, just like a bad penny or an overdue bill, I am back. I know it has
been far too long to make you wait for my charming wit, whimsical stories, and adorable pictures. Yes, I
feel your pain and sense of longing. I wish to offer this explanation to you -- it's all Mom's fault.
Yes, it's true. She has been so busy (her words, not mine) crocheting doll clothes for her mom and
sisters. She has also been busy (again, her words) playing Animal Crossing. What I wish to know is,
are there any support groups or 12 step plans to get her off her addiction to Animal Crossing? She has
two towns that she plays with. One town has 4 people and the other has one (so far). She gets excited
when she catches a new type of fish or a new bug (I kid you not). I did manage to get her to update my
web page and to add a couple new pictures. I will try to remind her to update this page as often as she
gets a chance. Maybe I can hide her memory card or something. Till next time, be good.
9/11/03
As you can see, I've changed things up just a little. Instead of adding the new entry before the last,
I am putting it in the order that it was written. Now, it is more like reading a book or in my case a diary. I am going
to keep the archive page the way that it has always been.
Mom finally took a picture of the birds that have taken residence on our front porch. It started out as one bird.
He would fly up under the porch and sleep on the ledge that goes around the porch. He would then leave each morning
when Mom would go out to get the paper. This went on for about a month or so. Suddenly, he was gone. He stayed away
for a couple of weeks, then he came back. Shortly thereafter, his girlfriend moved in with him. Now, as you can see
in the picture, these birds didn't bother to make a nest. They just fly up under the porch and sleep on the ledge
with their heads turned facing the wall. It looks like they are in time-out or something. Mom took a couple pictures
of them last night. The picture she added to my album is the best one. It isn't a great picture, but she didn't want
to get to close to them because she didn't want to scare them. They are soooo cute (even though they are birds).
I have some bad news to tell you about too. Mr. Tinkerbell, my Aunt Shirley's pet rooster is missing. Shirley went to
feed him and all she found was a bunch of feathers lying around. She didn't see any blood though. She and her husband
followed the trail of feathers; but, they didn't find Mr. Tinkerbell. I hope he is safe somewhere hiding from whatever
went after him. Let's all keep good thoughts. Come home Mr. Tinkerbell!
9/20/03
Well guys, there is no new news about Mr. Tinkerbell. Aunt Shirley really misses him. It's hard to lose a pet.
I know I felt bad when Max (our family dog) died. My Mom is mad because the developers are clearing off the property behind
us to build a bunch of condos. It was a pretty tree covered area with a hill that slanted down towards our backyard. There was
a little stream that flowed past our back fence. There were lots of birds, squirrels, bunnies, owls, chipmunks, etc. that
lived there too. I say was because it is slowly going away. The trees are mostly gone. I'm not talking about little trees; but,
trees that were big around and tall and beautiful. The hill is going to be leveled. They are going to put in one of those
lovely collection ponds back behind our house. You know, those concrete holes with a fence
around it. A few of the displaced animals have showed up in our yard so Mom and Dad put out some extra food for them. There are
a few trees between our yard and the progress behind our house. I hope that the birds and
squirrels can rebuild their nests in them. Sometimes, progress really sucks.
9/21/03
Mom has added a couple pictures of the destruction (I mean progress) going on behind our house. First is a picture of a
squirrel that was eating some food that she put out. You can see the injury on his shoulder that she circled. There are many more
squirrels that have similar injuries. We think that they happened when the bulldozers knocked down their trees. Then she added a
picture of the land that is being cleared. This land was formally full of trees and bushes that was home to many little creatures.
Soon it will be a bunch of condos. I repeat - progress sucks.

Mom and Jason (my brother) spent the last couple of weeks visiting family in Pensacola and Laurel Hill, Florida. They had
a very good time and were happy to see everyone again. Jason hasn't been able to visit them in a couple of years, so it was especially
nice for him. Dad had to go to Canada while they were gone. That left Allen to take care of me. He did a great job (as usual). I did get
a bit lonesome while everyone was gone and Allen was at school or work. I decided the best thing to do to pass the time was just sleep. So,
that is precisely what I did. When Mom and Jason came back home, Dad took Jason out to find him a new car. Jason ended up with something
called an Eclipse. It is brand new and really pretty. Mom took a picture of Jason and his new car and put it in my album. You should check
it out along with all the other pictures. Mom is getting ready to pick out her pumpkins to carve for Halloween. She said she was only going
to carve 4 this year. Yeah sure, Mom. Whatever you say. I'm sure she will take pictures of her handiwork again this year. I hope she carves
one with a cat design. I can't wait to see all of those cute trick-or-treater's with all that yummy candy!
1/19/03
Well, Mom has let quite a bit of time elapse between updates (you can see prior updates by
checking out my archives). She has been pretty busy around the house. She and Dad made a few more wooden
Christmas presents. They turned out great. Especially the one she painted to look like me. It was excellent!
Mom and Dad went to see Jason during the Christmas holidays. After that, they went to Florida to visit the relatives.
They had a great time visiting everyone. I stayed here with Allen. He had to work and I had to sleep. We were both busy.
Then, Mom and Dad came home and started working on Dad's train stuff again. They are making chickens out of clay.
They are not too bad either. Mom's great nephew, Daniel, was hit by a car just after Christmas. His leg was broken and his
foot was messed up pretty bad too. He has been in pediatric intensive care since about December 29th. Today is his
birthday -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL!!!! - he is 9 (I think). It is also his twin sister's birthday (Happy Birthday Layla).
Tomorrow is their brother Jamie's birthday (Happy Birthday Jamie). Daniel has had a number of surgeries on his poor
little foot. But, the good news is that it looks like it will be o.k. Still, he needs all of your prayers and good wishes.
He has alot of therapy to go through. So, good luck D-man. Hurry and get well!!!!
11/22/02
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! Where has the time gone? Well, they say that time flies when
you're having fun. We have all been pretty busy lately and lots of time has passed since my last update.
I blame my Mom. Well, you didn't think I would blame myself did you?? Mom has been busy with her scroll
saw again making presents for people for Christmas. She has made some cute stuff. I will get her to put up
some pictures of the gifts after everyone gets their Christmas stuff. For those of you who can't wait till
then, I have managed to get her to add pictures of her 2002 Halloween pumpkins. She only made 3 this year
because she was having MAJOR tooth problems. She is better now. This year she made an owl, a shreeker,
and a spider. They looked pretty good too. I liked the spider one the best (of course I have this thing
about bugs). See for yourself in my album. Just click on the pictures button at the bottom of this page.
While your here, don't forget to sign my book. Stop back by after Christmas when I get her to add more
pictures (especially a few of me). till then, bye bye.
9/28/02
Good day everyone! It is so nice to see the sun shinning. We have had rain here every day for over
a week. We are stilll below average; but, thanks to last week, we are catching up rather quick. Mom has been
hard at work at her scroll saw making Christmas presents. She has made a really cute crow wearing a straw hat
with a sunflower. The crow is sitting in a swing. She is now in the process of painting a pig which will be swinging
in a tire. Then she has to make a tire swinging cat and then a couple of cranes. The rest of the family will get
bought presents. After all, Mom made them presents last year and they shouldn't get greedy. That's my job. She
said that after she is finished with this stuff, she will make me a really cool bed. She wants to make a real big
one with a canopy and lots of pretty decorations. I can't wait. Mom is really good to me. She spoils me rotten.
Of course, I'll never admit that to her.
8/25/02
Good news! Hey, who am I kidding? This is GREAT news. Allen helped Mom update my photo album.
Now, I have THREE pages of pictures in my album for you to enjoy. Mom added a couple new pictures to the
album too. One picture is of the wooden cat that she made for Grandma for her birthday. Poor cat - it looks
like it is in shock (HA HA HEE HEE HEE)! You'll get the joke when you see the picture. The other picture is
of yours truly. I look great (as usual); but, I think that the concrete University of Florida gator is trying
to hog my spotlight. Hope you enjoy them. Take care and come back soon.
8/24/02
Where does the time go??? Mom has been busy lately working on a birthday present for her
mom for her birthday so she hasn't been around to help me update my page. Mom made Grandma a cute little
wooden cat using her scroll saw. She has taken a few pictures of me that she will put in my album in the
next couple of days. She wants to take a few pictures of some other stuff before she downloads them in
my album. All I can say is that she better get to work. She is falling behind in her duties. Untill she
gets them in the album, y'all will have to just look at all my other pictures. Hope you like them. Take
care and come back again soon.
7/28/02
Bad kitty! It has really been way too long since my last entry. Sorry about that. Mom
has been a bit busy lately. She has managed to get her back hurting again. Not as bad as before though.
She has also painted half of the front porch, replaced some dying flowers in her flowerbed, painted some
buildings for Dad's S-guage model train set, cut all the grass in the yard a couple of times (Dad is sick
with a bad cold), and done a few things in the house (I am beginning to see why her back is hurting her).
Mom gave me a bath today. She put lots of water in the tub for me to play in. I have heard that most cats
don't like water. I don't know why though. I just love to play in the bathtub. I just don't like to get out
and get dried off. I always growl and hiss and try to run; but, Mom is pretty smart - she shuts the door so
I can't make a run for it untill she dries me off. When she opens the door though, I'm outta there in a flash.
Then I run and hide untill I am a bit more presentable. You have to admit that cats DO NOT look their best when
they are wet. I am no exception to this rule. Just when I get over the trauma of being toweled off, here she
comes with the brush. If there is one thing I hate more than being towel-dried, it's getting brushed. When Mom
is finished, I run off a few steps and scratch at the carpet or the rug and growl, hiss, and make other ugly
noises and faces at Mom. Then, when I am sure that I have told her off enough, I run off and hide again for
a little while untill I can compose myself. Then, I look for Mom and jump in her lap to let her know that all is
forgiven (at least untill next time). I suppose the drying off and brushing aren't really that bad; but, don't
tell her that. It will be our little secret. Allen is visiting Rae in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey for a few days.
They went to New York yesterday. He will be back Tuesday. I'll be glad when he gets back home (I kinda miss
the guy). He took Mom's digital camera with him, so maybe I can put a couple of his pictures in my album for
you to see. My Mom has a birthday next month. Her birthday is on August 7th. If you want to wish her
Happy Birthday, just leave a message in my guestbook and I'll be sure to pass it along to her. Want to know
how old she'll be? She'll be...hey Mom what are you doing....I was just telling everyone that you'll
be....wait a minute.... but I don't want to go to bed yet!
7/3/02
Whoa! Has it really been this long since my last update?? Where did the time go? It seems
that I missed the whole month of June! No, I didn't sleep through it; however, that does sound like a
good idea. We've been kinda busy around here. Mom and Dad have been sprucing up the house. They had
to powerwash the deck and front porch. Then, they restained the deck and will soon be painting the
front porch after Dad does a few repairs. Mom also went to visit her mom, sisters, and brother who
live in Pensacola, Florida. I really did miss her. Allen was in charge of taking care of things around
the house cause Dad was also out of town (business stuff). Allen does a really good job taking care
of me except for one thing - he likes to sleep later than Mom. Mom is up by 7:00 am at the latest.
Allen, on the other hand, has been known to sleep till noon if he doesn't have an early class or
have to work. NOON!!! ARGHHHHH! I could starve to death waiting that long. Mom suggested that Allen
put out a bit of dry cat food at night so I would have something to munch on till he could get up and
feed me. That helped some; but, I stilll had to wait forever to get fed each day. I had to find
something to do to keep my mind off of food untill Allen could feed me. I came up with a great idea -
I decided to sleep-in too. Mind you, I stilll tried to wake-up Allen each morning; but, even my
hitting the door with my paw and pushing against the door to try to open it didn't work. I'm glad
that Mom is back, I really did miss her (not just because of the food thing). Thanks for looking
after me Allen. You did good.
5/30/02
Good news about Allen's hip! The doctor said that there does not appear to be any sort
of problem that might cause a setback in the healing process with his hip. The doctor checked the
x-rays and the MRI and everything looks normal (insert joke here). He believes that the sharp pains were
probably caused by Allen trying to do too much too fast after he stopped using the crutches. The
muscles need to be used and limbered up during his physical therapy before Allen can cut loose on the
DDR machines and get back to the usual stuff he does at work. Thank goodness! Although the doctor did
remind us that we have to keep close watch on his recovery because the loss of blood flow from one side
of the bone fracture to the other side is stilll possible. This means that he stilll may need an artificial
hip. Bummer! Now on to happier news -- news about me. Mom added a couple more pictures of me to my
album. She took pictures of me on my perch in front of the kitchen window. She said the way I was sitting
looked "funny". I don't see it myself; but, take a look and leave me a message in my guestbook telling me
how you think I look. Sometimes I wonder about Mom. Well, take care and come back again soon.
5/21/02
It's been awhile since my last update. Sorry about that. Allen has had a bit of a setback
with his hip. It is hurting him a bit, especially when he walks. He is also limping a bit. Mom is
taking him off tomorrow to get an MRI. If there is a problem, we hope it will show up on the MRI.
We are hoping that it is just a few sore muscles that haven't quite gotten the kinks out from not being
used while he was on crutches for 3 months. Mom has been having a bit of pain from her back too. Poor Mom
and Allen. I feel so sorry for them. Hope they get better soon. Mom took a few more pictures of me the
other day and put them in my album so I could share them with you. Hope you like them. I also want to
wish all of the upcoming graduates my best wishes and congratulations. Good job!!!
5/5/02
Hello everyone! Good news here. Allen is finally off his crutches. The last set of x-rays
looked great. His hip has healed so well, that you can't even see where the fracture used to be. He
has to go back in 6 months to get another x-ray; but, the doctor says that he doesn't expect any sort
of problems. After 9 months, the doctor wants to take out the 3 screws. This means another operation
and another couple weeks of walking with crutches. The doctor said that Allen might or might not have
problems a few years down the road if he leaves the screws in the bone. He said that it would
be better to take them out now while Allen is young and healthy. I think it is a good idea too. Of course
this is a bit confusing to me. First I had to get used to Allen walking around with crutches. Then, just
when I started to accept them, I find out that he won't be using them. Now, I find out that after I
get used to him NOT having them, he will be using them again. Then, he will stop using them again. Ack,
this is getting confusing and a bit complicated. I think I'll just go take a nap and not waste my time
thinking about all of this stuff. While you're here, stop by and check out some pictures that Mom took.
She has one of a squirrel and a chipmunk that she took in our backyard and another of a tiny baby bunny
that she rescued from one of the neighborhood cats (naughty kitty, shame on you) and then released later
into the woods behind our house. She saw him the other day and he is getting bigger and looks like he is
doing well. Our wildlife "family" now includes 6 chipmunks, 8-10 squirrels (regulars), a bunch of birds
(of all kinds and boy they look yummy, sorry Mom), and at least 4 rabbits (including the baby). We don't
count the opossum since we haven't seen him for awhile. Anyway, check out the pictures and I'll talk to
you again soon. Take care.
4/21/02
Mom saw her orthopedic doctor this past Friday. He is the same doctor that treated Allen's
broken hip. He told her that the bone spurs are located higher up in her back and they were not the
cause of her back pain. A couple facets in her spine have shifted a bit and that caused her to have
back spasms. He started her on anti-inflammatory medicine and she has to go the physical therapy beginning
Monday to tighten up the muscles in her back to keep these facets in place. Sounds a bit complicated to
me; but, the doctors knows what he is doing. Therapy sounds like another word for exercise to me. That is
something that I would not like to do. My therapy consists of jumping off my bed each morning and walking
down the stairs to my food bowl. Then I walk back and forth from my bowl to the shelf where Mom keeps my
food. After I eat, I visit the litter box and then I do my stretching exercises (I lie on the floor and
stretch my body as much as possible so I can get in Mom's way while she makes breakfast). Then I usually
go back for another mouthful or two of food. Then I like to get into my box and take a nap. After all, I
have put in a good amount of exercise and I need my rest. Take care and come back and visit again soon.
All this talk about exercising has really worn me out. I need a nap.
4/5/02
Poor, poor, poor Mom! She has a massive backache. She went to the doctor and has had to take a
bunch of tests. The doctor thinks that Mom might have something called "kidney stones". I'm not sure what
they are, but they don't sound like something anyone would want to have. She had a bunch of x-rays made
on Tuesday (about 20) and she had some kinda of dye injection test done yesterday where they put dye in your
veins and take x-rays. I think I should call her X-ray Mom. I am trying to make her feel better
by sitting in the chair with her and following her around when she gets up. She seems to be in alot of pain.
I am even trying to be more patient with her because since her back is hurting it takes her longer to feed
me. So, I try not to fuss at her too much even though sometimes it seems to take forever for her to walk from
the counter to my eating area. I hope she gets well soon. Grandma and Aunt Shirley bought Mom some flowers and
Allen's friend Kimmie bought her a HUGH bear. This bear is soooo big that it scared me the first time I saw it.
I was afraid that it was going to eat me. After staring at it for a couple of hours (from behind Mom's chair)
I decided that I would check him out. I cautiously made my way up to it and after popping it a couple times with
my foot, I decided that he was o.k. Mom took a couple of pictures of him and of her flowers and she put them
in my album. Check them out while you're here. Also, I have an Allen update. Allen is now able to put some weight
on his bad leg. The doctor said that at the next visit next month, Allen will be able to lose the crutches. Good
for you Allen. I'll kinda miss those crutches though. I'm just now starting to like them.
3/17/02
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I
hope everyone gets a chance to eat corned beef and cabbage. I just love cabbage. Corned beef ain't bad either.
I just wanted to let you know that I finally got Mom to add a couple more pictures to my album. They are of
me (of course). Hope you enjoy them.
3/10/02
Congratulations Jason! Just found out that Jason's EBX store in Clarksville, TN, is Store
of the Month. Not only that, but Jason is Manager of the Month. Wow! That is super work. Once again,
CONGRATULATIONS TO JASON for Manager of the Month and CONGRATULATIONS to all of the employees of the
EBX Clarksville store for Store of the Month. Keep up the good work guys and gals.
2/26/02
O.K. Who is the wiseguy who turned the air conditioner up to super high cold? The weather
was so nice and warm the past few days. Now, the wind is blowing the lawn chairs across the deck and the
temperature is COLD. In fact, it is suppose to go down to 17 tonight. Gee, I sure am glad that I am an
inside cat and not an outside one. I just don't see how others can rough it out there. Just to let everyone
know, Allen is doing well. He is stilll on crutches. He goes back to see the doctor in
four weeks. Then, maybe, he can try to put some weight on his hurt leg. He has been doing
alot of reading since his accident. Not much else he can do. I sure hope he gets well real
soon. Well, guess I should go for now. Take care and come back again soon. Maybe I can
get Mom to take a few pictures and add them to my album. tilll next time, bye-bye.
2/19/02
Sorry that it has been so long between updates. I have a good excuse
though. Allen fell at work on 2/4/02 and Mom and Dad had to take him to the
emergency room to have him checked out. They took x-rays and said that he had
"soft tissue damage" and sent him home with a prescription for 800 milligrams
of Motron. They said if he stilll had pain in a week or so, he should see an
orthopedic doctor. Well, he hopped around on his crutches for a couple of days
and the pain grew worse and worse. Mom made him an appointment with an orthopedic
doctor and he looked at Allen, then took more x-rays and then told him and Mom
that his hip was fractured and he would need surgery that day to put 3 screws
in his leg. He made it through the surgery just fine and he is feeling better.
He goes back to his doctor this Friday to have the staples taken out. He will
then have to take therapy to help his leg recover. The doctor said that he
should know within 6 months if Allen will need to have an artificial hip or not.
Poor Allen, I feel so sorry for him. Mom has been paying alot of attention to
him and has been taking really good care of him; but, she is stilll making time
for me. Stilll, I miss getting ALL the attention. I suppose I can share Mom with
Allen a bit longer since he is hurt; but, when he feels better, I will once
again demand my rightful place as Queen of the House. Untill then, here is my
wish that Allen gets well soon. I love you Allen (but not your scary crutches).
2/4/02
Good day all! Hope everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl game last night.
Congrats to New England for their win. Bet there were alot of surprised people
out there who thought that the Patriots would lose. Well, fooled you. Speaking
of bets, Allen won a few bucks on the game. Way to go Allen! You should get
some sushi to celebrate and share it with me. Not that I care who won the game
but I would like some sushi. Before the game, Dad and Allen bought some new tennis
shoes. That means I have a couple new boxes to play with. The boxes aren't very
big though. I can just barely fit into them (must be making boxes smaller these
days). Mom took a couple pictures of me trying out the boxes and put them on my
album page. Why not take a look? Afterwards, stop by and sign my guest book. Oh,
by the way, I have also put a new picture of Taco in my album. He just keeps
getting cuter and cuter.
1/25/02
Hi everyone. Hope you all are doing well. We are fine around here.
A bit wet though. It has been raining here. Perhaps I should say "It has been
RAINING here!" Lots and lots of rain, wind, thunder, etc. I can't complain
though, I like to sit by the storm door and watch the rain. I am stilll trying
to recuperate from Jason's visit. He just l-o-v-e-s to pick on me. Of course,
I pick right back at him. When I get tired of the game, I just go hide under the
bed and sleep. Jason, Allen, and Allen's friends had lots of fun at the WWF
Royal Rumble. They had seats really close to the stage where they set off the
fireworks for some of the wrestlers. They said it was extremely loud. They could
also feel the fire from the flames that the WWF sometimes uses for some of the
wrestlers. Sounds like a bit much for me. I'll just stay here in my nice cozy
chair or bed or kitty pad and snooze. Oh, by the way, Happy Day-After-Your-Birthday
to Sharon. She just turned......don't worry Sharon, I'll never tell.
1/16/02
Jason's coming for a visit this weekend! I can't wait to see him
again. He is coming to go to the WWF Royal Rumble with Allen and a couple of
their friends. It will be nice to see him again. It's been too long. Not much
else going on around here. Allen is going to classes again at Georgia Tech. Dad
is going to work. That leaves Mom and me at home. She does her housework stuff
then she and I sit at the computer for awhile and cruise the Internet. Sometimes
she has to run errands and I take a nap. Actually, I take naps even when she is
home. I MUST get my beauty sleep you know. I've added 3 new pictures. They were
taken of the snow that we had here in Atlanta a couple weekends ago. Check them
out.
1/6/02
I have some very sad news to tell you today. Yesterday, Max,
my doggy brother, died. Actually, Mom and Dad had to take him to the vet
and have him put to sleep. He would have been 13 years old this summer.
He was not in the best of health. He had hip dysplasia and arthritis in
his back legs. He had been taking medicine for this for a couple of years
now. The medicine helped a lot in the beginning; but, his body just sort
of gave out. He lay down and just could not pull himself back up. Mom and
Dad did all they could for him for his last couple of days; but, they
realized that the best thing that they could do for him was to let him
go. So now he is in Doggy Heaven running around with Chick-A-Babe getting
into all sorts of mischief. Bye Max. I really did love you, even if you were
a dog.
1/1/02
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! Yahooooooo for 2002!!! Let's hope that this new year will be a
happy and prosperous one for all of us. Mom and I have been updating my page today. We moved
last year's entries to the archive page. If you want to reread my pearls of wisdom, just scroll
down to the archive button and click. I like starting a new year with a new page. I also
moved the pictures on the first page of my album to the next page. I left the pictures that
Mom took during Christmas. Mom also took a few new 2002 pictures of me. You should check them out.
Don't worry, you can stilll see the old ones by going to the bottom of the picture page and clicking on
"more pictures". I'll enjoy filling up the first page in the album with lots of new pictures for
us to look at and enjoy. Did you all make your New Year's Resolution? My New Year's Resolution
is to doing pretty much the same things that I did last year. Why try to improve on perfection?
Don't try to fix something that's not broken is what I always say. I will try to get my mom
to do a few more updates a bit more often on my page. I will also try to get her to add more
pictures in my album. You know how moms can be though. Maybe I can talk her into getting me
my own e-mail address. That might be fun. Then maybe a bigger food bowl with more food,
my own room, more toys, and......so much to do. Guess I should get started on some of this
stuff. Right after my nap of course. Stop by again soon. Don't forget to sign my guestbook.
Now, off to start that nap.
12/21/01
Merry A Few Days After Christmas and Happy Almost New Year! I had a pretty
good Christmas this year. I hope all of you did too. Mom bought me a couple soft cat pads to
sleep on, a new toy (with cat nip inside it, YIPPEE), and some shampoo. It was all really
nice. Mom got Max a new doggy dish and some snacks (Hey, I didn't get any!). Mom and Dad
went to Florida for Christmas. I missed them alot; but, Allen was here with me. Allen left
for West Palm Beach to stay with friends and celebrate the new year the day Mom and Dad
returned from Pensacola. Mom spent most of this morning taking down Christmas decorations.
I think that she should just leave them up for next year. They were so pretty. I really
enjoyed lying in front of the door looking at them. I hope that everyone has a happy and
SAFE New Year! Come back and visit with me soon. I love you all. Oh yeah, new pictures on
my album page. Check them out.
12/3/01
Things are a bit sad around the house. My Dad's grandmother died this
past weekend. Her name was Lucille; but, everyone called her "Granny Laurel Hill". She
lived in Laurel Hill, Florida. I have met her a few times and she was very nice to me.
She will be missed by all of us. In other news, I suppose you know that the Florida
Gators lost this weekend. So much for the National Championship. Like they say, "Wait
till next year!" I hope that you noticed the Christmas Counter that I have added to
the top of this page. Now I can see exactly how long I have to wait to get my presents.
I love Christmas. I have started my Christmas List. I want lots of toys with Cat Nip
inside and kitty treats and cans of cat food and more kitty treats and more cat food and......
well, I guess you can see where I am going with this. Remember that although I have a
great family that loves me and takes excellent care of me, there are lots of kittens,
cats, puppies, and dogs that don't have loving homes. Why not adopt one of these loving
animals and give it a new home and family for Christmas? It would be a wonderful present
for you and for them. Till next time, take care and come back soon.
11/27/01
I hope that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. All in all, we have lots to
be thankful for. Personally, I am thankful for my family and my home. I am also thankful
for my comfy bed, food bowl, and litterbox (well, I am a cat you know). Congratulations
to the Florida Gators! Yea, Go Gators! They may be National Champs this year. I sure hope
so. Dad graduated from the University of Florida and we are all Gator fans. Hey, Happy
Birthday Uncle Leroy! Hope you get lots of presents. Speaking of presents, I have already
started my Christmas list. Among the goodies are: toys, a new nap box, and a larger food
bowl full of food. Yummy! Well, better go. I need to work on my Christmas list. Take care and come
see me again real soon. By the way, Mom added 4 pictures to my album. These are pictures that
she took on the trip that she and Dad took to see Jason. There is one of Dad and Jason
taken on Jason's porch and 3 taken at the Tennessee Aquarium.
11/10/01
Hi! I just took a look at the calendar and I can hardly believe that it is
already nearing the middle of November. Time passes so quickly. Mom and Dad spent the
last few days in Clarksville, TN, helping Jason get set up in his new apartment. Mom says
that it is really nice. She told me that the drive from Atlanta to Clarksville is beautiful
this time of year. The trees are so colorful - brown, orange, yellow, etc. Jason's new
store (where he is the manager) is doing quite well. Good luck Jason and sell, sell, sell.
Mom and Dad stopped at the Tennessee Aquarium on their way home. She said that it is an
excellent place to visit. They spent a few hours there looking at all the fish and other
aquatic animals. She said that she and Dad had a wonderful time and that I would have
loved the place. It's full of fish, what's not to love. It sounds like a yummy place.
I mean a great place to eat. I mean visit. Well, better go for now. I will try to talk
Mom into adding a few pictures of her trip to my album in the next few days. Till then,
take care and come again soon.

Hi everyone!! I have got to tell you a story that you just will not believe.
Yet, I swear to you that it is real. This is a story about a rooster. The rooster, Mr.
Tinkerbell, belongs to my mom's sister, Shirley. One day Shirley was doing a bit of yard
work when she heard a noise behind her. She turned around and saw a rooster. He was small
and looked like he needed someone to look after him. Shirley decided to adopt this rooster.
She named him Mr. Tinkerbell (I kid you not). She fed him and gave him some water and fixed
a place for him to sleep. Mr. Tinkerbell ate the food and drank the water; but, he did not
seem to like the sleeping arrangements. He would go off at the end of the day and return
the next day to eat. One morning, Shirley went out to feed him but he wasn't there. She
heard a noise in the tree above her. She looked and looked and finally she saw Mr. Tinkerbell
high up in the tree resting in the the fork of a tree branch. That is (as we all know now)
where Mr. Tinkerbell sleeps at night. Shirley has had this "pet" for some time now. Each
night, Mr. Tinkerbell "climbs" the tree to go to sleep. He manages this by "flying" up to
the lowest branch where he immediately rewards this effort by crowing. Then he walks down
the branch till it grows next to a slightly higher branch. He hops on this branch and then
he crows again. Then he hops to the next branch and crows..... all the way up to his
"roost" where is so happy that he shouts out a couple "Cock-A-Doodle-Do's" to tell everyone
one within hearing distance "good-night". I have been told that he does this every night,
rain or shine (so to speak). Another peculiar habit of Mr. Tinkerbell concerns his "love life".
You see, Mr. Tinkerbell does not have a couple of hot chicks (ha ha couldn't resist that one)
living with him. So, what's a rooster in the prime of his life suppose to do in the romance
department? Well, Mr. Tinkerbell has solved that little problem. He has "found" himself a
substitute chicken. One that will never leave him. One that will never talk back. One that
will never say, "Not tonight, Mr. Tinkerbell. I have a headache!" You see, Mr. Tinkerbell
has found...............a football. Yes, I said a football. He prances around it while he
flaps his wings and crows. Then he, well he, I think you can guess what comes next. Afterwards,
he lets out a loud "Cock-A-Doodle-Do" and goes on about his business. It's true, really it is. At
least that's what I have been told. If you want to see Mr. Tinkerbell and his "girlfriend"
check out my photo album by clicking on the cute calico kitten at the bottom of this page.
I have also added a picture of Mom's great-nephew. His name is Ethan. There is also a picture
of my mom, her sisters, her brother, and Grandma. While you're at it, sign my guestbook.
Take care all.

So much has been going on since my last update. Jason has decided that he will take the
management job in Clarksville, Tennessee. He will be moving there next month. Congratulations Jason!!
I know he will do a wonderful job. We are all so very proud of him. Mom and her sisters gave Grandma
a Halloween birthday party while Mom was in Florida. Happy Birthday Grandma!! Allen is real busy in
his classes at Georgia Tech. He is doing very well in all his classes. Good job Allen!! Mom and Dad
went to Louisiana to watch the University of Florida beat LSU. Excellent job Gators!! Keep it up and
win the title. Max is enjoying the cooler weather. He is kinda old, but he gets a bit more active when
the weather is cool. As for me, I am doing what I do best and enjoy doing the most. I spend the day lying
in the sun, eating, and getting snuggles from Mom. What more can a cat ask for? I know; how about a
snack?! Hey Mom, come here a minute!
9/11/01
How can people be so full of hate and so empty of compassion that they would hijack planes full of
innocent people and fly them into buildings that are full of innocent people? What makes a person like that? I hope
that whoever thought up these plans and whoever helped execute these horrible deeds are found and punished. This is
such a sad day for us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with the dead, their families and friends, and the people
who survived these cowardly actions. Please don't call these killers "animals", it is an insult to all of God's
creatures everywhere.
9/9/01
I can't believe it has been such a long time since my last update. Sorry everyone. There
has been so much going on around here that Mom and I just didn't get around to updating my
page. Mom has had to visit the dentist to get some work done on a tooth. Dad has been in and out
of town on business. Allen has been working and going to school at Georgia Tech. Jason has been
to visit us a couple of times. He is getting a promotion from Assistant Manager to Manager at EBX.
He will be moving when he gets his promotion. He isn't sure which store he will go to. He thinks
he may be moving to Nashville. Well Jason, all I can say is "yee-haw"! It was only a couple years
ago that I was living in Tennessee. In fact, I was born in Tennessee. Now, I live just outside of
Atlanta. I enjoyed living in Tennessee; but, I like my new home better. There are more birds,
squirrels, bunnies, and other wildlife here for me to "ack" at. I hope you enjoy your new home
wherever it may be. I also hope I get invited to your new place to check out your scenery. Well,
take care everyone. I'll try to get a few new pictures added to my album next time I update my
page.
8/9/01
Hello everyone! I had a GREAT vacation in Florida! I made it home just before Tropical Storm
Barry decided to drop by. Mom had a little birthday party given for her while we were there. She turned....
well, a lady never tells her age. There were quite a few guests at the cookout/party. I decided to stay in
my room except for a few times when Jason took me out to show me off to everyone. Mom took some pictures
and I am going to add a few to my album. Check them out. Don't forget to sign the old guestbook too.
Til next time, bye-bye.
7/28/01
Greetings all! It seems that I will be going to Pensacola with Allen and Mom instead of staying home
with Dad and Max. Mom decided that the trip would be my birthday present. It will be nice to have a change in
scenery. I won't like the trip itself though. I really hate to get into that kitty carrier and ride in the car
for 5 or 6 hours. I suppose that Mom will give me one of those "happy pills" to knock me out. Well, as usual,
I plan to make that as difficult as possible. Not that I don't like to sleep mind you; but, I just like to make
life more interesting (or should I say difficult) for Mom. We are also taking along a surprise with us to
Pensacola. A special surprise for everyone (as if my coming along is not special enough). If you promise not to
tell, I'll let you in on it. Promise? Well, Jason has flown in from Memphis (boy are his arms tired, sorry I
couldn't resist). He is going to go to Pensacola with us. It has been a long time since Grandma, Granny, Pops,
and everyone else has seen Jason. He not only goes to the University of Memphis, but he also works. This makes
it hard for him to get enough days off in a row to make a trip to visit anyone. I'm sure everyone will be happy
to see him. I know I am. Well, better go for now. I have to get my bath for the trip tomorrow. I also have to
get my stuff together and plan my strategy for making it hard for Mom to give me my "happy pill". Take care
everyone and I'll let you know how my trip was when I get back. Don't forget my birthday cards.
7/17/01
Whatz up ya'll??!!! I hope everyone paid attention to me and were extra careful during their
4th of July festivities. It was a real wild July 4th here. Not so much because of the fireworks (which
were nice) but because of the storms. We had rain (tons), thunder (it was louder than the fireworks),
lightening (brighter than the fireworks), and wind (we lost some tree branches). All this, and the city
and county fireworks when on (in most cases) as planned. Can you believe it?! Mom and Allen are going to
Pensacola at the end of this month. I'm staying home with Dad and Max. Jason is coming for a visit at
the end of the month too. He is going to try to go to Pensacola and surprise Granny, Pops, Grandma, and
everyone else. It will be good to see Jason again. It has been way too long since his last visit. Hurry
up July! By the way, July 31, is my birthday. Happy Birthday to me!!
7/1/01
Happy July! I hope everyone has BIG plans for July 4th. I know I have. I plan to sleep late,
eat, sleep, eat, sleep, sleep, sleep, etc. Sounds like a great day to me. I suppose there are those
of you out there that might want to celebrate by shooting off fireworks and cooking out. I just want to
remind all of you to be careful with those fireworks. Lots of people get hurt every year while playing
recklessly with fireworks. Kids, have an adult supervise you (yea, I know you are capable of doing it
yourself; but, if something goes wrong and you destroy someone's property, isn't it better to have an
adult standing by that you can shift the blame to?). Also, I know that some of you out there will be
doing alittle drinking (I don't mean soft drinks and water). Please be careful and considerate of others
around you. If everyone is careful and plays nicely, we will all have a great July 4th. Have fun and
drop by an leave me a message about how much fun you had. Right now, I need to practice my July 4th
celebration techniques. Now where is my food bowl and bed?

Mom's home! Mom's home! Mom's home! My mom has been gone for a couple of weeks; but,
she is back now. I sure did miss her. She went to Florida to visit and help out my dad's mother
and father. You may remember that my "Pops" had a heart attack a few months ago. Mom went to
Florida to take him to a couple doctor appointments and tests while Phyllis (Mae and Chick-A-Babe's
mom) went out of town for a few days. Pops is doing much better now. I am sure glad to hear that. I am
also glad that Mom's home! By the way, Happy Father's Day to my terrific dad (he took excellent care
of me and Max while Mom was away) and to all the other Dads, Fathers, Pops, Daddies, Papas, etc. out
there. Oh, one more thing -- welcome back Mom!
6/1/01
Happy June everyone! Ah June, such a busy month. The kids are out of school,
people are getting married, Father's Day, Flag Day, Birthdays, and the official beginning
of Summer. It's been raining the last couple days here is Atlanta. It is suppose to rain
the next couple of days too. We really need this rain though. Mom was complaining about
having to water the grass. Since the watering ban, she can only water every other day for
a limited time. She said that she wished that it would rain. The moral here, be careful what
you wish for, you just might get it. Well, check out my photo album and don't forget to sign
my guestbook. Have a GREAT Summer.
5/22/01
I talked Mom into adding 3 new pictures. There are 2 new pictures of me (lucky you) and a
picture of my dad's 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible. Mom and Dad took it to a car show/competition this
past weekend. They came in 2nd place in their division. Way to go Dad!! Be sure to check out these
new pictures and also please sign my new guestbook. Take care and come back soon.
5/20/01
Man, I am so sorry that I haven't written an update for everyone for so long. I do,
however, have a good excuse. Our #1 computer (where my webpage is lovingly prepared) decided to
do a crash and burn on us. It took Dad forever to get it to a point we could copy my stuff on
floppy discs and then install it on our #2 computer. When I say we, I mean Dad, Allen, and Mom.
I did what I do best -- supervise. Hey, it's a tough job; but, somebody has got to do it. We still
don't know what happened to the computer. Speaking of tough jobs, congratulations to all the 2001
graduates. Each of you had a tough job and you did it. Good job all!! My grandpa is still improving
from his surgery. Each day, he gets stronger and more like his old self. Good going Pops! Of course
he has had lots of help. I just want to tell Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Leroy to keep up the good work.
They are the best "Not-Quite-A-Nurse" and "Not-Quite-A-Physical Therapist that a man could ask for.
They have worked very hard to help Pops get better. Well, better close for now. I'll try to get
Mom to take some new pictures for my album for everyone. Until then, bye.
4/30/01
Look!! New pictures for your enjoyment! No thanks necessary, it is just a little something I
do for my many fans. Hope you like them.
4/25/01
I hope that everyone had a nice Easter. The weather has sure been strange around here. The
temperature dropped down to 34 one night last week. Grandma (Mom's mom) came up for a visit last week.
She rode up with Mom and Dad on one of their weekend trips to Florida to visit my grandfather (Dad's dad).
He is still recovering from his open-heart surgery. Mom and Grandma spent most of last week planting flowers
in the front flowerbed. Now, I have something new and pretty to look at. Grandma rode back home this past
Saturday. I sure do miss her. I slept in the room with her while she was up here. It is, after all, my room.
I slept in my bed and Grandma slept in the other twin bed. Sure do hope that she comes back for another
visit real soon. Love ya Grandma. Hurry and get well Pops.
4/4/01
I have some good news and some really bad news. First, the good news. My grandpa is making great
progress from his open heart surgery. He had us pretty scared for awhile. He is now in a private room at the
hospital. Mom and Dad went to Florida to be with him before the surgery and stayed a few days afterward.
They are planning on driving back down there in a few days to see him again. Now, for the bad new. Really
bad news. My sweet, beautiful, funny, lovable (puppy) cousin Chick-A-Babe is dead. She was hit by a car when she
went to the road to look for her mom and dad who were at the hospital with my grandpa. They were only going
to be away for a short time, but grandpa was having complications after his surgery and they, along with my
mom and dad, spent the night at the hospital. There was so much going on at the hospital that everyone forgot
that CAB was outside. I suppose CAB was wondering where everyone was and decided to take a walk and look for
them; otherwise she would not have gone out to the road. Perhaps CAB died so she could be an angel to help
my grandpa make it through the night. I'd like to think so. I'm sure she thought that it was the least
that she could do for him. Thanks for sharing your life with us Chick-A-Babe. You will be missed by us all.
3/19/01
I hope that everyone had a nice St. Patrick's Day. Mine was great. I slept most of the day in
front of the glass storm door soaking up the sun. It was sooooo wonderful. Today hasn't been so great
though. I woke up (and woke up Mom), ran downstairs to my bowl, reminded Mom where she keeps my cat food,
explained how I wanted my breakfast to her (over and over again), and then when she sat my bowl down.....
I saw that there was NO canned food mixed in with my dry food. Well, I promptly told Mom that she had made
a major mistake. She then informed me that we were (gulp) out of canned cat food. Well, I was greatly upset
by this announcement (as you can understand I'm sure). I told Mom that this would never do. She told me that
I would have to eat my breakfast the way it was or do without. I thought she was kidding me, so I jumped up
on my perch and turned my back to her while I looked out the window waiting for her to correct her mistake.
I gave her a couple of minutes (more than enough time) and then jumped down and walked over to my bowl
expecting a proper breakfast. ARGH!!!!!! Still no canned food! I tried talking to her; but, there was no
getting through to her. She said that she wrote canned food down on her grocery list. "Well", I demanded,
"get dressed, get your purse, and get your butt to the store and get my food!" (This message was given to her
by assorted meows and growls as well as rubbing her leg with my head). To my amazement, she just sat down
and began to read the paper. No amount of meowing could get her to rush to the store and get my
food. So, I decided to go ahead and eat my "so called" breakfast. She could make me eat it; but, she
couldn't make me enjoy it. Till next time (if I survive this catastrophe) take care and come back soon.
Don't forget to sign my guestbook. While you're at it, tell Mom that she did me wrong.
3/10/01
What a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l day!!! It was so nice out today. I spent most of the day in front of
the glass storm door soaking up the sun. Then, for a little variety, I jumped up on my perch and soaked up
some sun through the window. All in all, it was a perfect day. While I was looking out the window, I saw
Mom and Dad cutting the grass. What a waste of time, it always comes back. Then, they trimmed the Pampas
grass. Poor Mom, her arms are all scratched up and puffy. She cleaned them up with soap and put medicine
on them. They look like they really hurt. Mom got her new glasses the other day. They look pretty cool. In
fact, they get the Neko seal of approval. Well, guess I'll go for now. I think I have just enough time to
get in one more nap before bedtime. Later guys.
3/2/01
Congratulations Jo and John Tucker on the birth of your son, Jonathan Elijah. He looks like
a real sweetie. John is my Mom's nephew. My cousin. So, the baby would be my great-cousin. Believe me,
there is no other cat in the world with a more adorable great-cousin. I have added his picture to my
album page. Make sure you check it out. You won't want to miss out on this cutie. I'll try to add a
couple more in a few days. Another bit of info for you all, my Grandma rode on a float in the Mardi Gras
parade in Pensacola. She was the Queen of her VFW chapter. Way to go Grandma!!
2/16/01
Man, we just had a real nasty storm blow through here! It almost scared me to death! The
wind was blowing 62 mph, it was raining real hard, and the severe weather sirens were blowing. Mom was
running around the house trying to close all the windows. Dad was out taking his evening walk. After
Mom closed almost all the windows, she jumped into the van and drove off to find Dad. He was just a few
houses down when she saw him and he just finished his walk on foot so he wouldn't get the car soaked
inside. Then Mom came back in the house and finished closing the windows. Needless to say, the house got
a bit wet and Dad got a bit soaked. As for me, I did what any sensible cat or person would do......
I hid behind the couch until the storm went away. My Mom didn't raise no fool!
2/10/01
Oh dear!! It has been a very long time since I last checked in. Sorry about that. My
Mom hurt her hand and without her help, I don't get too much done. Alas, I have had to take long
naps and just be lazy for the last few weeks. Hey, who is that laughing?? Mom has some sort of
nerve damage to her left arm and hand. Her pinky finger and her ring finger on her left hand (as
well as one side of her arm all the way up to the elbow) are numb. All this because she hit her
elbow on the door. She has been taking medicine to see if it would do any good. So far, it hasn't.
I guess she'll have to go back to the doctor in the next week or two and then go see a specialist.
She may have to have surgery. Poor Mom. More importantly, poor me. I'll starve if she can't feed
me. I feel weak already. Oh wait. Maybe Dad or Allen will feed me. All I have to do is be nice to
them. Ooops, I think I'm in trouble.
By the way, Happy 22nd Birthday Jason!!!!! Best wishes and all that sort of stuff.
1/16/01
Hello there!!! I just wanted to wish a very Happy Birthday to the twins - Layla and
Daniel - their birthday is on the 19th. I also want to wish Jamie a Happy Birthday too. His
birthday is on the 20th. Just so Teresa won't feel left out, Happy Not-Your-Birthday to you.
I have added a new picture of me in my album. It is me in my box. Make sure you check it out.
See you again real soon.
1/1/01
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Well, I got up this morning, stretched, and as I glanced out of the
window I saw snow. Then I looked up and saw - more snow coming. It is really pretty outside. Especially
when I'm inside looking out. I do hope that it doesn't keep snowing because Allen and Rei are coming back
from Memphis tomorrow. I don't like the idea of Allen driving in this stuff. Remember, he earned the
nickname of Bullseye back in November because his car was hit two times in one week (actually less than
one week). I want to wish everyone good luck in this new year (especially Allen's new car). Take care,
be safe, and come back to visit me soon.
12/30/00
Sorry it has been so long since my last update; but, my mom has been visiting relatives during
the holidays and I still haven't mastered the art of typing. Lots and lots of stuff going on around here.
Allen's friend, Rei, came back for another visit. I like her, she is nice to me. Mom and Dad went to Florida
to see the family. I stayed here with Allen and Rei. I just didn't feel like traveling. We have had some
snow, sleet, and ice. I hear we may be getting more. It really doesn't bother me though, I just curl up on
my perch by the window and sleep in the sun. Some bad news to report. Jason's apartment was broken into.
The nasty thieves stole almost $2000.00 worth of stuff. Among the items were his brand new Playstation 2,
a couple other game players, and about 40 games. This really bugs me. Jason works hard and goes to college
too. It doesn't seem fair that some lazy bum thinks that it is alright to bust in his door, go through his
stuff, and steal things that he bought with his hard earned money. Well, I hear that what goes around,
comes around. I hope that someone breaks into this jerks house and steals his stuff. Well, enough of that.
New Year's day is just around the old corner. The beginning of a new millennium. I want to wish all of you
the best in the year 2001. Come back and visit me when you can. Don't forget to sign my guestbook.

Hello everyone. This is Neko's mom. She is feeling a bit under the weather today.
As she told you the other day she had to go to the vet for her checkup. I had gone the day before with
Max and while I was there I picked up a small tranquilizer pill for Neko (she tends to misbehave
during her vet visits). I was told to give the pill to her about 30 minutes before her visit. I decided
that the easiest way would be to hide it in a piece of cheese. I softened up a piece of sharp cheddar
cheese and put the pill in it. She ate the cheese and when she got to the pill, she growled and hissed at
it. Next, I broke the pill up into 4 pieces and hide them in a small amount of canned cat food. She would
eat the food and when she got to a piece of the pill, she would spit it out next to her bowl. Then, I cut
the pill up into smaller pieces and mixed them up in some of the gravy from her food. I held her in my lap
while her dad pushed the mixture off the spoon into her mouth. I ended up with 5 scratch marks on my
stomach, her dad had cat food all over his fingers, and Neko had "most" of the pill mixture in her mouth
(as well as on her face). I guess it was enough because she did seem to calm down and it was easier for the
vet to hold her down to give her all her shots. As I said before, she is feeling a bit sick and sore from
her shots. She spent the day under a sheet on the couch yesterday growling and hissing at anything that
moved anywhere in the living room. She only ate a little food (that's how I knew she was feeling bad).
She is feeling a tad bit better today. She is still hissing and growling at everyone, but, she is eating
better. I tend to think that she is just taking advantage of the situation and using the vet visit as an
excuse to be bad and not get into trouble for it. Man, I'm glad that she only has to visit the vet once a
year!

Oh man! I can't believe that December is already half over and I haven't written any words
of wisdom for you all. Sorry about that. Let's see.....well, the 2 insurance companies whose clients ran
over Allen have finally paid up. Allen had to go to court today for the first one. He just had to tell them
that he was the one that was hit by the bad driver and that the other driver's insurance company had
settled the claim. Mom and Dad took the money from the accidents and added more money (lots more) and got
Allen another car. It is a 1996 Grand Am. It looks nice too. I sure hope no one runs into this one. Allen
has also finished his exams for this semester. He will have a B average. Yea Allen!!!! Mom and Dad have an
anniversary on the 19th of this month. They have been married for 25 years now. That is a L O N G time.
Jason has finished up his exams too. No word on his grades yet. I'm sure they will be very good though. He
has finally got his computer back online (if you're reading this, hello Jason). Max went to the vet today
for his shots. Poor Max, he did pretty good until he had to get up and walk out of the office. He has trouble
walking on the floor. He kinda scoots. Mom says that my turn to visit the vet will be tomorrow. She said something
about a tranquilizer that the vet gave her to give me before we leave. I'll eat the tranquilizer (sounds
like it might be tasty) but, she'll have to catch me before she can put me in the kitty carrier and take me
to the vet. She won't be able to bribe me with a tranquilizer, no matter how good it tastes.

Good news and bad news. First the bad news. Allen was in an automobile accident.
Actually he was in two. The first messed up the front of his car alittle. Some guy ran a red light
and hit his car. Then, just four days later, some woman decided she could turn in front of him
before he got to the intersection. WRONG!!! She turned INTO him. Again, he was not hurt. Just a
bump on his hard head. His car, however, was completely messed up. The insurance decided that it
would cost way more to fix it than it was worth. So, until he gets the money from the two careless
drivers insurance and finds a new car, he will be driving Mom's van. I'm not sure who feels worse--
Mom cause she is without a car, or Allen because he is driving a van. Now, the good news (besides
the fact that no one was hurt in the accidents) Mom and Dad spent Thanksgiving in a casino in Tunica,
Mississippi. They did very well. Dad made a profit of about $400.00 and Mom made a profit of $300.00
(that is after the $150.00 she gave Jason to play with). Allen had a friend come for a visit during
the Thanksgiving holidays and they stayed home (probably a good idea since Allen's new nickname is
Bullseye). Well, enough for now. It is about time for my catnap. Take care and if you see Allen on the
road, please don't run into him. Thanks.
11/15/00
Today is my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Dad. I love you, and all that sort
of stuff. Hope you like the present that Max and I bought you. I picked it out.
11/3/00
Hello all. Just a note to let you know that I have added a
few more pictures to my album. Mom got them when she went to Florida
to visit her family and friends. She added a new picture of Chick-A-Babe,
one of Chick-A-Babe and me, and one of Mae. Why don't you check them
out?
11/2/00
Wow! It's already November. It sure doesn't feel like
November here in Georgia. It is still in the 80's here during the
day. Halloween was the other day and I hope everyone had a safe and
happy Halloween. I decided to spend Halloween sitting on the rug in
front of the door. That way I got a chance to see all of the trick
or treaters. Mom had lots of lights and decorations up. She also
carved 4 pumpkins. She had an alien one, a ghost by a tombstone one,
a Dracula one, and one that had a father and son sitting by a campfire
telling scary stories while a ghost flew overhead. They were really
cool. Looking ahead for this month, I see that my dad's birthday is
on the 15th and Thanksgiving is on the 23rd. I love Thanksgiving,
especially when it comes time to eat. Well, I guess that's all for
now. Come back and visit me again soon.
10/3/00
Happy October everyone! I love this time of year. The air is a bit cooler and Mom likes to
open up the house which means that I get to sleep in the windows and smell the great outdoors. Mom is planning to
Florida to visit her mom, sisters, in-laws, and friends. She will be gone for a couple of weeks. This means
that I will here with Dad and Allen. I'll miss her while she's gone; but, I hope that she has a good time.
Meanwhile, I'll rule the house (even more than usual). I'll try to be good. That's funny, I just heard someone
laughing hysterically. I wonder what that was all about. Well, like I was saying, I'll try to be good. Man,
there's that laughing again. Guess I'll go for now and try to find out what's so funny. Bye for now.
9/24/00
Okay, it's not funny any more. Now, in addition to the
lion and gorilla, Dad bought Mom a animated tiger. This thing turns
his head from side to side and then opens his mouth and roars. That's
not fair! There is one of me and three of them. That's okay, I'll
get them one day. In other news, Allen helped Mom work on my web
page today. He changed it from 2 pages to 4!! Yea, I have a current
story page and then an archive page. Then, you can move on to my
photo page. Last, but not least, I have an additional page that I will
put my oldest photos on. Am I cool or what?! Thanks Allen for all your
help. Let's hear it for Allen! YEA ALLEN!
9/16/00
Goodness! It seems to have been a while since I checked in.
Not much new to write about. We had a new visitor out at the bird
feeders today. There were a bunch of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.
eating together when all of a sudden, everyone took off. I was wondering
what was going on when I saw it. It was a hawk. This bird was as big as me!
Now, that is one big bird! It was really beautiful. In other news,
Mom gave me a bath a couple days ago. I love the bath; but, I hate it
when she dries me off. I always fuss and argue with her. Last, but not least,
Mom and Dad bought a toy lion that moves it's head and growls. I'm not admitting
that I am afraid of it; but, I am a tad bit uncomfortable around it. They also have
a gorilla that moves it's head and snorts and roars too. They are both sitting in
front of the fireplace. One of these days, I am going to get up enough courage and
do some serious damage to both of them. Right now though, I will just bide my time.
8/24/00
Well, Mom has been at it again. She has made a few
changes to my web page. She has decided to put the current
month's stories under "What's New" and all of the previous
months' stories under "Archives". She then put a link to my
photo page between the new stories and the old ones so you,
my fans, don't have to scroll all the way down to the bottom
of the page. Of course, if you enjoy reading the stories over
and over as much as I do, you'll find another link to the
photo page at the bottom of this page. Allen is leaving
tomorrow night to go to North Carolina for WWF Summerslam.
Have fun Allen! Tell Miss Kitty "hi" for me!
8/12/00
It sure is quiet around here now that everyone has
returned to their homes. Quiet except for Mom's new couch. She
got a new couch and two new rocker/recliners. The couch is cool
because it has a phone built in it. It also reclines on both
ends. I decided to jump up on one end and then Allen lifted up
one of the arm rests and pushed a button. The whole end of the
couch began to hum and vibrate. It scared me almost out of one
of my nine lives. Since then, I have decided to stay off of all
of the new furniture until it decides to behave itself. I still
have my silk-lined box to sleep in. It doesn't have a phone or a
button to make it vibrate. That is just fine with me.
8/7/00
Today is Mom's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!
Granny, Pops, Phyllis, Leroy, & Chick-A-Babe left yesterday
to go home. I kinda miss them. Phyllis bought Mom and me a
couple of hummingbird feeders. We put one on the front porch and
one in the backyard. About 5 minutes after we hung them out,
we had hummingbirds coming to eat at both of them. Hummingbirds
are so cute and little. They are hardly a mouthful. Barely a bite.
Don't worry, I won't hurt them. I doubt I could catch one. Besides,
they are so small, it would not be worth the effort. Jason is still
here. He will be returning to Memphis tomorrow. I will really miss
him (even though he teases me alot). Allen will be coming home later
today. He called and said he had a great time at the convention. Well,
guess I better go for now. It is time for my after breakfast/before
lunch snack. I'll try to get a picture of a hummingbird at one of the
feeders if I can. Check ya later.
8/3/00
The baby birds have flown the coup. Mom checked the nest in her
flower basket and they were gone. There was no sign of a birdnapping or
attack by another animal (I swear I was in the house at all times). So, I
guess they have flown away. In other news, Allen is on his way to Maryland
for his Anime convention. Jason is coming up for a visit beginning Friday.
Granny, Pops, Phyllis, & Leroy are also coming up. Sure will be good to see
all of them. Hope they don't forget Chick-A-Babe. I need someone new to pick
on.
7/30/00
Happy Day Before My Birthday To Me!!!! Yes, as you can see by the
old birthday counter at the bottom of my page, tomorrow is my birthday. I can't
wait! I get to sleep as much as I want, eat what I want, do what I want.....hey,
that sounds like a regular day to me. Except, I'll get presents. LOTS of presents.
Hint hint!! I have added a picture of the baby birds to my photo album. They are
hard to see; but, I guess that is what the Momma Bird had in mind. It seems that
only 3 hatched. I'll add more pictures as they get bigger.
7/26/00
THE EGGS HAVE HATCHED!!! Well, at least 3 did. Looks like one was
a dud. They are a bit on the ugly side. Just alot of pink skin and fuzz. They
made their appearance last week. I am going to add their picture to my photo
album page as soon as they look more like birds and less like aliens. Probably
next week (more or less) so, keep a lookout for it. Maybe you could help me and
Mom name them. Just give your suggestions in my guestbook and we'll see what we
can come up with.
7/15/00
Hello again! I hope all my fans are doing well. This is a brief
update just to fill you in on a couple things. There is no new news on the bird
nest and eggs in Mom's hanging flower basket. Mom and Dad got a new computer.
Last, but not least (in fact most importantly), I have a couple new pictures
in my photo album. Be sure to check them out. That is about all for now. Be
sure to check back soon for any updates on the nest. Don't forget to sign my
guestbook. I really like hearing from you.
7/6/00
I hope everyone had a safe and happy July 4th. I was having a
nice day until the fireworks began. Boy, they were LOUD and kinda scary.
Max wasn't too happy with them either. When you check out my picture page
(and I know you can't wait to do it) you'll see a picture of some new
additions to our family. It seem that a bird has not only built a nest in
one of my Mom's hanging pots; but, she has also laid 4 eggs. They are so
cute and little. Hardly a meal at all. Oh, don't worry, I won't eat them.
Mom will see to that. I will keep you informed on their progress and try
to get a picture of them after they hatch. Speaking of birthday's (well,
I'm sure someone was) mine is getting close. I can hardly wait. Mom made
Max a cake for his birthday so I can't wait to get my cake. Take care and
remember to check back on the progress of my little birdies.
6/19/00
I hope everyone had a nice Father's Day. My Dad spent most of
Father's Day working on Allen's car. He and Mom replaced the brake pads and
one of the boots on his car. Then Mom took him out to dinner. He opened his
presents on Saturday because Allen went to Memphis to visit his friends and
go to a wrestling event there. He is returning Wednesday along with Jason
and one of Jason's friends. It will be nice to have someone new to hiss and
growl at. Don't forget that there are only a couple weeks left to participate
in June's "National Adopt A Shelter Cat Month". This is a campaign designed
by the ASPCA to get people into their local shelters to adopt a cat. So,
what are you waiting for?
6/12/00
I see by the cat calendar on my wall, that Summer begins on June
21. If that is true (and I don't think my calendar would lie to me) then I
just want to know one thing......just what season are we in now! I mean
really; it has been between 85 and 93 for 4 days now. Does this mean that
we won't be able to walk out side without melting after June 21? Not that
I plan on going out mind you. Here in Powder Springs, we are under a water ban.
You can not run any sort of water outside between the hours of 10:00am and 10:00pm.
I kinda feel sorry for poor old Max having to live outside in this heat. Mom
does have a child's (large size) pool for him to get into when he gets too hot.
He likes to get in it and s-l-o-w-l-y sit down into the cool water. Then he
will lay down in it for awhile then get out and shake a couple gallons of
water off himself. Mom also makes sure the birdbath is full of fresh water for
our birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. There are also lots of shade trees for
all of them to get into and under. I guess it isn't too bad out there, at
least not yet; however, I think I'll just stay in my nice air conditioned
house. Hey, I ain't no fool.
6/6/00
I just wanted to let everyone know that June is "National Adopt
A Shelter Cat Month". The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals (ASPCA) has designed this campaign to focus attention to the millions
of cats available for adoption at shelters across the US. I myself was
adopted by my Mom and Dad from a shelter in Germantown, TN. There were quite
a few other cats (and dogs) waiting to be adopted so they could give their love
and devotion to a family just like yours. So, stop by your local shelter and find
yourself someone to love.
6/3/00
I want to give my congratulations to all of the year 2000 graduates.
Good luck to each and every one of you. Now, go out and get a job. I also want to
take this opportunity to remind all of you that Father's Day is June 18. So, don't
forget to get your Dad something nice and don't forget to tell him how much you
love him. Max and I have already bought our Dad his present. It is all wrapped
(thanks to Mom) and sitting on our fireplace (we like to buy it early so he has
to look at it each day and wonder what it is).
5/27/00
Not much to report today. Mom got Dad to trim a few tree limbs so the squirrels
can't use them to jump from onto the bird feeders. There is only one squirrel that knows how
or is crazy enough to take the leap. Dad has named him Skippy. The other squirrels sit under
the feeders and wait for Skippy to drop some food down to them. Tough break Skippy. Uncle
Phyllis (don't ask) sent me a picture of my cousin Chick-A-Babe to put in my album. You should
check it out. She is a sweet and extremely well-mannered dog (don't ask). All I can say is that
my family tree has many branches.
5/20/00
Hello all. I have been sitting in the window watching Mom and Dad mow the lawn. Looks
like hard work. It made me tired just watching them. I had to take a little nap. After my nap, I
noticed that they were watering the lawn. Maybe I'm wrong (yea right) but doesn't watering the
lawn make it grow? Then, when it grows, won't they just have to mow the lawn again? That just
doesn't make too much sense to me. It makes me even happier that I'm a cat. We have another new
critter in our backyard. It seems that Mr. and Mrs. Chipmunk have a little baby. It is sooooo
small. It would hardly be a bite. I mean, it is so cute and precious. I am going to keep an eye
on him.....just to make sure nothing gets him.
5/15/00
I have an update on the Squirrel/Mom battle. Well, it seems that since Spring has sprung,
the tree limbs that hang above the shepherds hook have sprouted out so that they are close enough
for the most acrobatic of the now 7 squirrels to jump out and onto the baskets holding the bird food.
So, Mom will have to find a place that is shady enough for the birds to sit in to enjoy their food;
but, far enough from the low hanging branches that the squirrels can't use them as a "spring-board"
to the bird food. The score is now: Squirrel - 4 ... Mom - 1. I also want to tell you about our
new "critters". Now, in addition to the 7 squirrels and multitude of birds, we have also welcomed
2 chipmunks. They look delicious, ah, I mean cute. Welcome aboard guys.
5/7/00
It's been awhile since I updated my page. There hasn't been too much to talk about. Allen
and Jason are out of college for the summer. They are both very happy about that. Just a reminder
that Mother's Day is a week from today. My Mom ordered her mother and my Dad's mother some flowers
for Mother's Day. SSSSSSSSSSShhhhhh, don't tell. I guess I'll jump up in Mom's lap and let her pet
me for Mother's Day. It may not sound like much; but, hey I'm a cat and I don't get an allowance
or a chance to go shopping. She'll like my present just fine.
4/25/00
I hope that everyone had a nice Easter. We did. I see by my cat calendar on the wall,
that it is almost May. May 1, is May Day so get your May Pole ready. Don't forget that May 14, is
Mother's Day. Let's hear it for MOM. Yea!!!! Don't forget to get your mom something. It doesn't have
to be a big deal or anything expensive, just something to let her know you're thinking about her and that you love her.
She will love whatever you give her. Mothers are like that. Speaking of mothers, just to keep you
up to date with the Squirrel/Mom battle--the baffle is still working. The birds are the only critters
eating the bird food. Don't worry about the squirrels, Mom is feeding them corn and pecans. Max is
also eating the pecans when he finds them. Unlike the squirrels though, he eats them shell and all.
Guess Mom will have to build a "Max baffle" now.
4/13/00
Hello. Have you noticed anything different on my web page? My Mom is learning how to add things
to my page. She added the scrolling note and the birthday countdown. She also added a few more pictures.
So, check out my page and let us know what you think. By the way, the squirrel baffle is still working.
Squirrels - 3 ... Mom - 1.
4/10/00
For all of you who are interested in the battle of Mom Vs. The Squirrels, I have an update. Just to remind some of you,
the squirrels have decided to snitch the bird food from the baskets that hang on a shepherds hook. They climb up the pole, hang upside
down from the top of the basket, and eat the cakes of bird food. Mom is determined to stop this little band of thieves. After all, she
puts squirrel food out for them and bird food out for the birds. She came up with a plan that, so far, has put an end to the
stealing of food. She bought a large plastic bucket. She cut the rim off to prevent any type of hand hold. (Hey, do squirrels have hands?)
Then she cut a slit and a small hole in the bottom of the bucket and slid the bucket upside down about 2/3 the way up the pole.
She wound a large lump of tape under the bucket to keep the bucket from sliding down. Then, she used grout to seal up the slit.
The contraption is a kind of "modified squirrel baffle". She couldn't find one that would work on the pole because it has an extra
"leg" on the bottom for added support. Believe it or not, this weird thing seems to be working. Only the birds get to eat the bird food now.
Of course the squirrels have been studying it for the past 2 days and they are probably planning some sort of attack. Until then,
they are getting even with her by digging in the potted plants she has on her front porch. She put them there because when they were
in the house someone (it was never proven to be me) was pulling the flowers off one plant and eating the leaves off the other.
So, Mom gets an A+ for her invention (at least for now).
4/6/00
Wow!! Just when you think that Winter is over and Spring has sprung, along comes a storm and wind that feels like
someone left the freezer door open. Poor Mom had washed all the quilts, folded them neatly, and put them away in the closet. Then,
the storms came. They were pretty bad too. The wind was blowing so bad, the sky was dark, and the rain was heavy. Then, after all that,
it gets cold again. I don't mean cool or chilly; I mean COLD. It is warming up now though. The birds are back singing and eating from
the bird feeders and the squirrels are eating their corn (they are also sneaking over to the bird feeders snatching bird food). Mom is
trying her best to keep the squirrels away from the bird food. Score: Squirrels - 3 ... Mom - 0.
4/2/00
Hi ya'll. I hope everyone remembered to set your clocks ahead one hour. Today began with rain....lots of rain. Then, about 3:00, the sun came
out and it turned out to be a very nice day. My Mom decided to let me go out for a walk. She put my leash on me to keep me safe and took out her new digital
camera and away we went. I decided to pose for a few pictures which will be at the bottom of my picture page. I hope everyone likes the changes that my Mom
and I made on my web page. We have a few more things in mind as soon as we can pin Allen down to help us figure out how to do what we want. Well, back to
my day out. I walked around the yard and smelled the bushes and saw a bug. Like the true hunter I am, I chased him down and ate him. Yummy. I got to stay out
for quite a long time. Then, as it started to get dark, I had to come in. We did get some nice pictures though and I hope you like them. Don't forget to
sign my guestbook. Check ya later.
3/29/00
Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. My Mom is going to the dentist tomorrow. She really hates to go to the dentist. She
is especially worried about tomorrow. She has to have something called a root canal. I'm not sure what that is; but, I don't think it is very
nice. The thing is, she has to have this root canal on the same tooth that she had one on before. Sounds bad to me. On a happier note, my Mom had a winning
bid on an online auction for a digital camera. It is supposed to arrive today. This should make my pictures look even better for my web page. Of course I'm
not sure how long it will take her to figure out how to work this camera. Luckily for her, Allen and my dad are good at figuring out how do work things and
they should be able to teach her how to work it. Good luck guys.......you'll probably need it.
3/22/00
It was another wonderful day here in Georgia. It was warm with a nice little breeze blowing. As you can see by my last two pictures, I decided to
take advantage of the weather by stretching out on the window sill and catching a few rays. I know that it won't be too long before the days get hot and my
Mom will keep the windows closed and turn on the air conditioner. Don't get me wrong, I love my air conditioner; but, it's nice to relax in an open window and
enjoy the outside world. In fact, I think I'll go back and catch a few more rays. Talk to ya later.
3/20/00
Today is the first day of Spring. I'm so glad. Don't get me wrong, Winter is a nice season; but, Spring is my favorite. The flowers are blooming and the trees are
green and full of birds. The temperature is warm enough to open up the house and let in the the scent of flowers and that great scent of fresh cut grass. I love it. There will also be brand new baby birds and squirrels for me the watch. Hey, check out my new "picture" page that Allen
helped my Mom create. Now, when you go to the bottom of this page you'll find an animated calico cat. Just click on the cat and you will be taken to my photo page. Cool isn't it? Thanks Allen for helping me get a bit more modern. So, check it out and don't forget to sign my guestbook.
I want to know who my fans are and what they think. I'm going to go relax in the window in the sun for awhile. Until next time, be happy.
3/15/00
Hello all. I'm in a very good mood today. My Mom is back from her trip to Memphis. She went to visit Jason and take him some things for his apartment. She was gone for 5 days. Gee, I really missed her. When she got home she whistled for me and I ran down the stairs to meet her. She picked me up and hugged me real tight (I think she missed me a lot too).
She sat down and we snuggled for awhile. I followed her around for most of the evening just to make sure she didn't leave again. Don't get me wrong, she didn't leave me all by myself. My Dad was here to look after me. He did a good job too; but, he does work and when I got the urge to
snuggle during the day, there was no one here. That's why I am happy that my Mom is back. I have her trained to stop whatever she is doing when I want to snuggle. Welcome home Mom!
3/7/00
Today is Fat Tuesday. How do you like that, I have a day named for me (ha ha). From what I hear, it is a very fun day. Lots of parades, lots of parties, lots of beads, and most of all, lots of FOOD. The weather just keeps getting better and better. It was so nice today. Mom opened up the windows again. She also decided that I needed
a bath. Not that I mind, I like to play in the water. I do hate it when the phone rings though. She had just started to shampoo me when the phone rang. Since Allen left this morning to go to a Japanese Anime Convention, she decided to answer the phone just in case he was
calling her. So, I just had to stand there and wait for her to get back. Of course it wasn't Allen, it was some sort of automatic phone dialer reminding her to vote (I hope you got out and voted today). Luckily she wasn't gone too long and I got to finish my shampoo and play in the water for awhile. Then she took
me out to dry me off. I'm not sure why, but I don't like the drying off part. I make sure to let her know that each time I get a bath. Then, she said she was going to take a picture of me. Is she CRAZY or what??? I couldn't let her do that so I ran off and hid until I was dry.
Later, she brushed me (I hate that too). I LET her take my picture as I was lying down in the window getting some sun. The picture is at the bottom of the page. That will do it for now. I have some serious napping to do.
3/1/00
March is a busy month. It's Spring Break time for the college crowd. This means that Jason and Allen will be free to sleep in late for a few days. I'm sure they will take advantage of it. That is, unless they have to work. March 8, is Ash Wednesday. March 17, is St. Patrick's Day. Be sure to wear green. March 20, the first day
of Spring. Won't that be nice after this long cold winter? I can't wait. The weather is already warm enough to open the windows at my house. I like to sit on the window sill and smell the great outdoors. My Mom even puts my leash on me and lets me walk in the yard. It is nice
to get out for awhile; but, I like to get back in the house after awhile where it is comfy and safe. I guess everyone likes that. Check out my new pictures at the bottom of my page.
2/15/00
Hello everyone. I hope that all of you had a Happy Valentine's Day. I sure did. My Mom gave me ice cream as my V-Day treat. It was so good. She also took a new picture of me to put on my web page. I put it at the bottom of my page. It is really good, if I do say so myself. I am sitting in front of my front door. I had
been checking out the birds when she called out my name. I turned around (after she called me 3 or 4 times) and when I saw the camera, I struck a pose. I really enjoy having my picture taken. Good thing because my Mom takes a lot of them. If you look
past me (I know it is difficult cause I'm so cute) and out the door to the right, you can see our water fountain. It is not running right now cause it is still a bit cold. When it is running though, lots of birds stop by to play in it."Here birdy, birdy, birdy."
2/13/00
Well, tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I hope that all of you have a wonderful day and get lots of goodies. I hear that cats shouldn't eat chocolate. I'm not very happy about that. I am sure that my Mom will get me something special though. She always does. Since I don't get out much
and since I don't have a credit card, I guess I'll just give my Mom a big kiss and a nice purr for her present. I'm sure she will like it. So, even if you guys don't have a lot to spend, I'm sure you can make your special valentine happy
by giving them a nice hug and a kiss. Yea right.
2/9/00
I thought that today would be a good day to tell you something about my two human brothers. The oldest one is named Jason. Tomorrow, Feb. 10, is his birthday. He will be 21. Happy Birthday Jason.
He lives in Memphis, Tennessee. He goes to college at the University of Memphis. I really miss him sometimes. I like to snuggle with him. We also play a game called "Stay". He
will sit me down on the couch usually upside down or with my head hanging off the edge of the couch and tell me to "stay". I will stay in the position he placed me in for 2-3 minutes before I move to a more comfortable position. He is the only
one that I will play this game with. Anyone else, and I jump up and run away.My other human brother is named Allen. He is 19. He lives with us in Georgia. He goes to Georgia Tech. Yesterday,
he shut the car door on his finger. He went to the college clinic and had it checked out. It wasn't broken; but, it was split open and bleeding. They wrapped it up and gave him a shot. He said the arm they gave him the shot in hurts worse than
the smashed finger. I wouldn't have let them give me a shot. So, get well soon Allen.
2/4/00
I thought that I might tell you a bit about Max. He is a large black German Shepherd. He is getting along in years. The poor old thing is having a problem with arthritis in his hip.
He was feeling pretty bad and didn't get around like he used to. Mom and Dad took him to the vet to see what could be done for him. The vet checked him out and gave him two prescriptions for the pain. Well, it has been about a month now
and I am happy to report that Max is doing great. He can run (as much as an old dog would want to) and play and have fun again. The other night, he decided to have some fun
with the small garbage can that his empty dog food cans are thrown in. He knocked over the can and pulled out the garbage bag. Then he tore open the bag and dumped out all of the cans. He rolled the cans around for awhile and then he
started chewing on the cans. When Mom went out to feed him the next day, she saw the torn bag and the crumpled up cans. She was angry at Max for the mess and worried that he might have cut up his mouth. These were metal cans with sharp
lids. After checking him out, she saw that he was o.k. She fussed at him about the mess; but, she was happy to see that he felt well enough to get into a bit of mischief.
2/1/00
Well, the ice is finally melting here. Boy, am I glad. Now, all the pretty little birds are flying around the bird feeder in our back yard. I enjoy watching them. Sometimes, I fall asleep while I watch them. I dream about eating, I mean
meeting them. Actually I did mean eating. Speaking of eating, I went to the vet a short time ago. I hate to visit the vet. I always get shots and the vet pokes me. She had the nerve to say that I am over weight. Can you believe
that? I only weigh 14 pounds. Now I ask you, is that over weight? I think not. Anyway, I got even with her. I had a real temper tantrum in her exam room. I screamed so loud that I could be heard in the parking lot. I also hissed,
growled, fought, and bit at her. Then, to add icing to the cake (ummmmm cake) I, gee how can I put this delicately, I relieved myself on her. Both kinds if you know what I mean (and I'm sure you do). Poor Mom and Dad. They were
so embarrassed. So was Max. He backed himself into the far corner. By the way, Max is my brother. He is a German Shepherd. But, I don't hold that against him. As long as he remembers that even though he is bigger, I am the boss.
Well, to make a long story short (too late) the vet suggested that next time I come for a visit, my Mom and Dad should give me a sedative first. I'm not sure what that is, but I plan to make it hard for them to give it to me. Just
because I think that is the way it should be. I mean, why make life easy for them.
