Nikolai Toushkanov - VIENNA, AUSTRIA
Originally from Moscow, Russia, Nikolai has been living in Austria for more than 10 years. He got both his degrees from an American university in Vienna. He is working as a software designer and programmer and enjoys his job immensely, since he considers programming only 20% science but 80% art.
"I am a complete amateur; nearly all I know about photography can be summarized as "point the camera at a nice scene and push the button." If I sometimes make good pictures, it's only because I live in a country full of beautiful places. In my spare time I enjoy hiking in Vienna surroundings and find photography a perfect complement for this activity. I have never specifically made pictures of gargoyles (at least till now that I found your site!) but I like shooting statues - maybe because unlike people they don't move and don't complain if the resulting photo is not good enough :-)."
EQUIPMENT - Nikolai currently uses a Canon PowerShot S10.
