TOAST News

Well, this is where we let you know of the happenings.  Anything from who plays what,  to the screwups and the behind the scene gossip.. (Im sure there isn't much of that)If you really want to know all the techy stuff, you will find that here too.

11/04/2001- Well, we just finished our first experience of a life time at Chiggers.  It all started with the 2 1/2 hour drive to Franklin in the Toast bus.  We got to Chiggers,(I knew we were in trouble when  the vehicle we pulled up in with all the equipment is bigger than the place we are playing in) and the bartender was doing some sort of cowboy tap-dancing behind the bar.(some kinda hoedown or something)  Anyhow, Jeff and I decided to unload only half of the gear.  It only took us around 5 hours to set up.  Not good considering normal setup time for all the gear is 2 1/2 hours.

By 8:30, everyone else in the band showed up and just by the looks of their faces, they were just in ah of the place.  By the look of Charity's face, I knew that she was sooo happy to be here.  Anyhow, by Sat. night, the busiest night of the week, we played for a total of 14 people.  Now, you would think with 14 people in the bar everyone should be enjoying themselves. NOT.  Just after our first set, a fight broke out.  You know, one of those deals where two guys are after the same girl thing.  Needless to say, that was the highlight of the weekend. NO, but wait, Stacy decided to stay home Sat. night so Jeff and I came down in her car then Jeff drove the bus home and I drove Stacy's car.  So, after Jeff and I loaded up the bus and drove to the Bigfoot to fill up with gas, Stacy's car decided not to start.  So we tore apart the car (I mean TORE apart) to get it started. I never knew that you can jump a starter by touching two wires together. Well it worked 1 hr. later.  So as I was driving the car, I noticed that the power windows, turn signals, heater blower, and radio was not working. Sure makes for a long drive home.

11/10/2001- Well we finally got it together. Everyone was tight and all sounded real good. What a crowd. We were so happy to see more faces this time around. Hope to see everyone at Kokonut!

11/17/2001- It was just another night at Kokonut. Long 4 sets drag out the night. No wonder we had a record time tear down. We just wanted to get home. As usual, sounded good and Jon just kicks ass on those drums. Even if his kick pad bites the big one. So I had a few people ask me why Charity doesn't use her portable keyboard! Humm. Hopefully we will get an answer soon. C ya at Rexs in Warsaw.
