ToastGun Mission Statement

We here at the burnt bread pistol (we being a relative pronoun) are interested in churning out raw, original material from young Chicago artists and putting them in front of an audience in a budget just big enough to get it exposure. We attempt to find new ways to connect theater to the audience with positive results. Through honesty and writing like a weasel in heat (who can write) it is then possible to redefine theater as something other than retarded comedy or epic thousand dollar whine-fest. This has thus far included bringing honor to the life of a garden vegetable, taking control of the machines that rule our lives through sexual servitude, and occaisonally the misadventures of Joanie Schultz in a kitchen.
