Los Angeles, California

June 30 - July 2, 2003.

The second most populous area in the United States, Los Angeles County is home to over 9,000,000 people.

Originally erected in 1923 to promote a real estate development, the sign has since become an international icon for the city and its film industry.

Along Sunset Boulevard, a view of the famous Hollywood sign.

One of my favorite activities is biking along the 26-mile coastal path that stretches from Malibu through Santa Monica all the way south to Palos Verdes.

Another famous landmark, the Santa Monica Pier, the location for many movies including 1973's "The Sting," with Robert Redford and Paul Newman.

Another of my favorite locations, the world famous Venice Beach sidewalk.

The bike path provides easy access.

Artists, free spirits, retail shops, bikers, skaters and joggers all come together on the Venice sidewalk

Some of my favorite sunsets happen in Los Angeles.
