U.S.S. Arizona Memorial

A memorial dedicated to the World War II veterans who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor.





2,388 Americans lost their lives. Another 1,178 were wounded.
Half of the casualties suffered were from the Battleship Arizona.


The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor began at 7:55 a.m., Dec. 7, 1941.





Completed in 1961, the Memorial stands as a haunting and silent tribute to all the military personnel who lost their lives in Pearl Harbor on that day.




Directions:

From the Honolulu/Waikiki area, take either Ala Moana Blvd./Nimitz Highway or H-1 Freeway West. While on H-1, look for the USS Arizona/Stadium exit, #15A. The USS Arizona Memorial is located on the shoreline overlooking Pearl Harbor directly off of State Highway 99 (Kamehameha Highway) about a 45-minute drive west of Waikiki..


Useful Information:
  • Free Admission includes tickets for the movie and boat ride to the Memorial
  • The park is open seven days a week 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
  • The tickets are given on a first come, first served basis - the last program each day begins at 3:00 p.m.
  • Arrive early - tickets may be gone as early as noon.
  • Restroom facilities and a gift shop are available on site
