Upper Yosemite Falls
December 14, 2003.

Overview: This is a strenuous hike about 6 - 7 hours in duration (round trip) up mainly steep and sometimes snowy terrain. The final destination is Upper Yosemite Falls, about 2400 feet above the valley floor at an elevation approximately 7,000 feet above sea level.

The falls begin showing through the clouds several hundred feet below the top of the trail.	Expansive views of the valley floor can be had from many points along the trail.

A stream at the top feeds into several pools before dropping over the falls.		Beautiful cliff edges span several hundred vertical feet below the falls.

Sitting on top of the world. The elevation is about 7,000 feet. The falls are below me and just to my right.

Bonus: a bobcat passes me on the way back down the trail.
