Each of these animated
GIF's in someway reflect Sisyphus's fate. You remember Sisyphus, the poor
fellow at the top of the page? He's the guy in Greek mythology whose eternal
punishment is to push a rock up a steep hill, only to have it roll to the
bottom every time he gets it to the top.
From an existentialist
point of view, we all share Sisyphus's fate. Sisyphus is the quintessential
personification of existence as meaningless punishment. His task never
accomplished, He is condemned to repeat his thoroughly meaningless exercise
perpetually, throughout eternity.
Think about how parts
of your own life resemble Sisyphus's fate. I'm sure it's not to hard. If
it gets to be too much, remember, life may be meaningless, but the graphics
are great!
