I agree with the topic sentence. We learn from many teachers since primary school until college. After graduation, we still continue learning from many mentors or supervisors around us. We meet uncountable teachers in our whole life. Among many teachers we meet, parents are surely one of best teachers.

In school, we learn many things from our teachers. For example, in my medical school, I learn from more than 10 teachers every week. I don't even remember the name of each teachers, because some of them teach us only 1 hour and we don't meet him/her again. Of course some impressive teachers cultivate our minds even in that 1 hour. But it is certain that we aren't impacted by every teachers. Some teachers suprise us by their technical knowledge, while others efficiently inspire our minds to study hard.

I sometimes think that what education is. What should we learn from our teachers? All medical students in Japan have to pass the Japanese Medical Licensing Examination. Just to pass the examination, we don't necessarily learn from our mentors. If we visit an university bookstore, we can find many problem books to pass the examination. We can get must knowledge with such textbooks without the help of teachers.

Again, then what is education in a medical school? By learning directly from practical doctors, we can learn more knowledge than we learn from textbooks. On top of that, some teachers motivate us to continue studying medicine. Of course we, medical students, want to be a doctor, so we study medicine everyday. But sometimes we ourselves lose motivation to be a doctor. In other words, we lose control of our minds and use our precious time for not important things. For example, some of our friends stop studying medicine, and spend time at home doing nothing.

In such a time, by attending all classes, some teachers happenly strike our minds and we remind our motivation to be an effective doctor. I guess parents have similar power to help us to continue studying. They can't teach us technical knowledge. But we can learn from our parents attitudes to live our lives sincerly. In this sense, parents can said to be best teachers.
