I agree with the statement. I also think that, in most country, in most cases, parents are the best teachers for their children. We have many people who could be our teachers around us. Parents are, of course, could be teachers before children began to go to school. After children entered school, their school teachers can teach them many things about studying and social lives. Also, children can learn many things from their brothers and friends. In that sense, parents, school teachers, and brothers/friends, could be possible candidates as the best teachers for the children. In the following paragraphs, I'm going to explain the reasons in detail.
First of all, parents can be the best teachers in most cases. This could be explained by the fact that children share most of their time with their children, especially before they begin to go to school. Especially when age around 3 years old, most children spend their time playing with their parents. By the daily playing, children learn about many basic things about daily lives.
Second, school teachers can teach children about many things about school lives. In school lives, children learn how to study and how they can communicate with their friends. By doing so, children learn many things about social lives and the society. Although children can learn many things about school lives from their teachers, school teachers can not be the best teachers for the children, because they have to spend much time with many other children. What school teachers see in their students is just one aspect of the children, thus school teachers can not be the best teachers compared to their parents.
Finally, friends and brothers can be teachers for the children. After school, in the evening, children spend most of their time with their friends or brothers. By playing some sports in the park, children can learn many things about how to communicate with people around them. In this sense, friends or brothers can be "teachers" for the children, but we usually think that teachers are the person who are older than us and who can teach us what we don't know. In that sense, friends or brothers can not be stated as teachers for the children.
In conclusion, we have menay people who can be our teachers around us, parents, school teachers and friends. Among them, parents can be the best teachers for the children. In many countries, in most cases, it is said that the first three years of the person's life is the most important period. We have the old Japanese sayings, "Mitsugo no tamashii hyakumade", which means that the mental education before age three is important until the person dies. I also agree with the old saying, and parents play most important roles until children reach the age three. Thus, I think parents who spend much time with the first three years of the children can be the best teachers.
