| << I disagree with the quatation. I don't say hard work is not needed for success, but I don't also think luck has nothing to do with success. I think luck is a important factor for success. But what means success? For some people success means to be rich, to buy expensive cars, to live in a large house, and so on. But for some, it seems to be nonsence, and for them to be famous may have a sence. Or for some, including me, to have a happy family means to be success. So I think just one word of success have various means for each people. To be rich, only hard work can not lead to success. You must work hard, but on top of that, you must be lucky. If you study hard and enter famous university and even if you study hard while your life in your university, you may not be rich. I think so because I know many people who have graduated a fomous university and got a good job, but not have much money. Because in this society, all the effort does not necessarily lead to success. To be famous, what would you do? I think this needs more effort than to be rich. To be famous, you must do a good job. Everyone who is related to your job must admire your work. Then you can be a famous person in your company or community. To do so, I think only hard work is needed. In this case, luck has little or nothing. Finally, to have a happy family, you both hard work and luck may be needed. Because if you don't work hard and earn little money, how does your family live? And to marry with nice woman, I think luck may be a larger factor than hard work. How hard you work, if you don't have chance or time to know a nice woman, you can not marry her. So if you want to success in your life, you must work hard and you must get luck. I believe people who work hard can also have luck. |
