I don't fully understand the correct meaning of the question. Do "jobs" in this contex mean part time jobs? If so, in my country, many of my friends have part time jobs. And an university student whose age is over 20 is included? I think most university students have part time jobs and that is ordinaly all over the world. So I suppose "teenagers" in this contex don't include university or college students.

Then I must think about high school students or junior high school students who have jobs. In my high school, almost all students did not have jobs. I don't know this is why. We all took it granted not working while we were high school students. But in other schools in my countries, many students have part time jobs while they are students. They work for life? No. Most of them work for the money to play or buy something they want. In my country, students who want to go to a famous or high level university usually don't work while they are students. If such a student have a job, I can say he certainly work for money to live. He works because his parents can not afford money to let him go to university. Do you think such a student is great? I think he is a great student, but this time, which type of students, that is, students whose parents have enough money and don't have to work while they are students, or students whose parents don't have enough money and must work while they are studying, are better students is not a problem. I think in this time of question, the purpose of the part time job is the problem, and the backgrounds the student must work are not matter.

Someone may think that even if a student have rich parents, he must work as social experiences. I agree with his idea. I think it is important to experience some kinds of jobs. But I myself did not do that and I don't regret my school days. So I think whether a student have to only study or must have a part time job is a matter of the student himself. What the student wants to do must depends on the student himself. He must decide his life by himself. But if I have a child, I don't want him or her to work while he or she is a student. I don't say they must study. I want my children what they can do while they are students. I think that is a role of a father, that is, to support his children's life in finance and let them do what they want. I want to be such a father.
