My hometown is a small residential area near the central area of my prefecture.  There are good and bad points for residents.

The most primal point in my home town is its peaceful living condition.  Those who plan to live in the town probably like this. My hometown is very quiet and safe place to live and therefore we can recommend people who have little children to move my town.  There are few serious accidents. Since many of locals have lived for a long time,  residents in my community have close relationship with one another.  Therefore if people have trouble, neighbors will help them.
Moreover,  little children can receive adecuate education near their home because there are three kindergartens, one public nursery, and two public elementary schools.  Parents send their son/daughter to the institution with ease.

Visinity to the central area of my prefecture, where we can buy everything, fascinates the new comer.  With about five minutes ride of train, we can go to the largest station in my prefecture.  Therefore, we can go everywhere we want from the station without drivers' license.  It takes only about fefteen minutes for us to reach large department stores, movie theater by car or bus from my town.

Despite of these merits of my hometown, there is sole disadvantageous thing. My hometown is far from most of college or university and those who want to learn at college or university will dislike this location.  Those who try to learn at university, working as a full time worker, must have trouble to go back and force to the school.  Although  a public women college and national medical school are near my town, other universities, where most students want to major in other subjects beyond gender demand residents of my town at least fifty minutes train and bus ride.  Therefore if the new residents want to study at university, they have to take pain to go to his/her school.

In this way, my hometown will be very comfortable and convenient place and the new resident come to love the town immediately.   But at the same time the long distance to most of universities might annoy the resident, who want to take lecture at the universities.  But the new comer gradually get used to commute since there is no weak point except the college thing as the living place and long commute provide people with free time in the bus or train.
