If I search the word, "Josh hartnett", who is the actor of the movie, "Pearl Harbor", by Yahoo! search engine, I can find doezens of websites about him or his private life. But I can say the difference between the old types of media and new types of media. That is, I can say the difference between television and the internet. Until we, ordinally people can easily use the world wide websites, our most important media was television. Programs broadcasted on television are made by professional people. But many websites on the internet are made by amatures. I think this is a very important difference. Because until now, we have only accepted the information that media broadcast. But now we can say what we want on the internet and we can also see other amatures' sites. So certainly, now and then, we pay too much attention to the private life of the celebrities. But the way we do so have surely changed. I this will make large effects on ads companies. Because in my opinion, in ten or more years, television will dissapear as it is from our lives. We may see television on our computers, but I think the most important media of the next generation is the internet. In fact, nowadays we buy many things or rights on the internet. For example, before I buy my computer, I registered the TOEIC test by mail. But after I buy my computer (though that was only half a year ago), I can register the TOEIC test on the net. So I don't think paying too much attention to the celebrities' life is worse thing. But I think media must change its way. That is, they must use the internet more effectively. By doing so, they can get more advertisement income. I think the ads income is one of the most important resources for the mass media. So if they want to be the king of the media as they are now, I suggest them to make more stress on the world wide websites. Because many ads companies begin to pay attention to the potential of the amature websites. I admitt that some amature websites have many visitors every day. For example, my most favorite diary site have 100,000 visitors a day. I think such websites can have some influence to our society. So I think celebrities themselves will face danger in ten or more years. That is, I say the probability of the amature persons. I can surely say that amature girls can easily be celebrities in the future. Even more, someone may make great movie that can compete with the Hoolywood's movie by using his or her computer. So I think we must pay much attention on the computer. By doing so, some of us can take place of the role of the media.
