<< I want to believe human activity makes the Earth a better place to live. In fact, when we study history in our school, we can feel that we are happy to live in this society. That is, if we were born 100 years ago or so, we might have to be a soludier. Or if we were born 400 years ago, we might die of starvation. Nowadays, we rarely die of starvation. I think this is because of the effort of our ancestors. We usually take it granted that we can live safely in this world. But sometimes I feel that this safety have not existed at the beginning. We, human had to be struggle to survive in the nature. But do you think we, as a weak animal, can survive in the severe nature. In the nature many storng animals live. Can you defeat tigers in the nature? So I think our ancestor made effort to develope tools to live in the nature. Someone often say that human being is a bad existence for the Earth or the universe. They say that human pollute the air in the Earth or consume much energy. It may be true. We in some sence or certainly destory the nature in the Earth. But I want to believe that we don't just destroy our nature. I want to believe that the pollution in the air or water is just the conclusion that we tried to develope. I want human beings because human beings struggle to develope to acquire more comfortable situation. We never give up pursuing more benefits. You may say that that is a bad habit of human beings. You may also say that we must live in accordance with our nature. I also think so. I also love the nature in the Earth. And I want the water in the Earth remain to be pure. I don't want to pollute or destroy the Earth. But I also love the convenience in our daily lives. I want to live comfortably and enjoy my life. I don't want to suffer from something. Do you think that is impossible? I don't think so. I believe we can do all things we want and also protect the Earth from pollution. Because our ancestors have lived that way. You may say that human activity is bad for the Earth. But I want to ask you. Then, what animals did for the preservation of the nature in the Earth? For me, animals seem to live just as they want they only lack mind or power to influence the Earth. Some people say that as if animals are the superior existence than human beings. But I don't think they are right. I can not decide whether human is superior or inferior than animals. But I also don't think that animals do good for the Earth, while human harms the Earth. Finally, I must say that I truely love us humans and the Earth. So I don't want to hear any words that despise both of humans and the Earth. I think for us, human beings, to live in the Earth comfortably means to protect and preserve the nature in the Earth.
