<< I think success come from both taking risks or chances, and careful planning. But until about one years ago, I thought success comes from only careful planning. I thought we don't have to take a risk if we want to success. So when I was a high school student, I loved planning my study schedule. I planned my weekly schedule very carefully and when the schedule was decided, I felt as if I had complished something. But to tell the truth, I had never carried out the plan. My schedule was always failed, because the plan was too tight and perfect. That is, the schedule was only a product of my mind. I think you may have the same experience. I think so because my friends were also made perfect studying schedule and they were also failed. This bad habit has longed althrough my high school life. So it was natural I failed my entrance examintion for the University. On top of that, I have failed two times. That means I consumed my important two years just for preparing for the entrance examination. You may think that I was very stupid because I could use the two years for something more important. From such experience, I have learned that careful planning is not so important to success. I have learned that the most important factor to success is to challenge everything and not fearing to fail. That means, we go anyway even if we can't see our near future. I think our life is like sailing a ship. We are the captain of the ship and we can go anywhere we want. However carefully we make our plan, we can not contorl the weather. We might be caught in a storm or a typhoon. So whether we can success or not can not be dictated by anyone. What we can do is only going ahead anyway. I think this attitude is very important for everything in our lives. I love the phrase "Go anyway, if not perfect". I think that is the most important attitude to success. I don't know what success means. But I believe success in this contex means to make our dream comes true. All of us have some dreams and we want make it real in the near future. For example, I want to be a neurosurgeon and work in the United States or other foreign countries. To make this dream comes true, what can I do now? I think I have to do two efforts. One is to blush up and increase my medical knowledge and skills. The other one is to improve my English skills. To do both of these is very hard work for me because medical study itself is very hard. But I can do both of these because I believe and obey the rule "Go anyway, if not perfect". Finally, I want to add one sentence to the phrase. Go anyway, if not perfect, then, someday your dream comes true. |
