<< I think that both promotion of artistic activity and environmental protection are necesary for human beings. However on balance, the company should spend the money on environmental protection rather than supporting art for following two reasons. First of all, environmental problems are so serious that we have to deal with right away. Especially, destruction of ozone layer and deforestation in torpid area have big impact on human being. The financial support from the company will be helpful to support planing and develop new technology to make alternative resources which do not destroy ozone layer. Therefore, the money should be use for the activities to stop aggravating environmental condition. Secondly, environmental protection will support art in the long run. Beauty of nature often gives artist themes or hint for them to make their works. You can easily remember some famous art works whose themes are beautiful nature such as the Monets or Yasunari Kawabata's "Yukiguni", one of his most famous novel. Without keeping nature such as forest, sea, and air, artists cannot make remarkable works. Of course, artificial things which frequently become themes of modern art, are also necessary for artists, I can declare we lost significant arts without beautiful nature. Thus, in terms of financial support, keeping nature clean and deal with contamination around the earth should have priority over promoting artistic activities. As I said already, now environmental condition is being worth day by day and if this situation continues, we will lost not only important themes of art, but precious resource and our own living condition. Therefore, the company spend the money to protect environment.
