| 267/5.0 Since I don't rarely see movies in movie theaters or at home, this is a very difficult question for me. But I have a few experience of watching movies, and I want to think about them. I went to movie theaters with my parents many times when I was a child, but those movies were mainly animated movies such as "Disney", or "Doraemon". "Doraemon" is a very popular anime commic in my country, and most children in my contry love "Doraemon" as their childhood hero. Of course, I think these childhood movies belong to movies that are designed to entertain children. The first movie I saw with my friends was about rock climbing. I went to see the movie with some of my friends when I was a junior high school students. And for me, as 15 years old boy, that movie was in some sense different from the movies I have seen before. That is, for me, looking at the movie seemed like to be an adult, though that is not a porn movie. But that movie does not still belong to the movies that are designed to make the audience think. I think so because the theme of the movie was battle and rommance between rock climbers. When I was a high school stuent, I have not seen any movie. You may think very strange if you have a habit of going to movie theaters, but for me, not going to movie theaters was not so strange. I had many other things I wanted to do than going to movie theaters. When I entered a university and took an English class, I had a chance to see some movies. The class was to see old famous world movies in English. In the class, we saw "Gone with the wind", and "Casabranka", though I can not say the spell of "Casabranka" is correct. And I think these movies are not just entertainment movies. That is, we must think something about the story of the movies. But I can not feel much from the movies, because the professor of the class stoped the movies many times and he commented about the meaning of the scene. So we, students had no chance to feel or think something about the story. This summer I went to a movie theater, and saw "Pearl Harbor". "Pearl Harbor" is the movie about the war between United States and Japan. This movie is very unique because, in the history of American movies, that is, in the history of Hoolywood, this is the first time the United States is destroyed completely. In most Hollywood movie, the United States wins all the times and Americans did not never lose. But in "Pearl Harbor", Japan is very strong, though this movie is made by the United States, and in this movie America is destroyed completely. Whether this movie belongs to an entertainment one or not may be a controversial problem, but I enjoyed the movie. For me, movies are just entertainment because I want to be relaxed by watching a movie. I don't want to learn something by movies, because I can learn and think much from my real life. So I just want to enjoy seeing movies. |
