Some people think that the automobile has improved modern life. Others think that the automobile has caused serious problems. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

I love driving an automobile. Though I have not my own car, I can drive my parents' car when I go back to my parents' home. And I often come to my parents' house to take a TOEFL test. You may think that why I have to go back to my hometown to take the test. One main reason is that the TOEFL test does not be offered in my community since it has changed from PBT to CBT. So when CBT system was applied to my country, I have to search other place to take the test. There were some options available, but after having thought many factors, I finally decided to take the test in my hometown. And to tell the truth, the main reason is that I want to drive my parents' car.

When I go to my hometown by using an airplane, my parents sometimes come to the airport and I can drive a car from the airport to my parents' home. It takes about 45 minutes from the airport to my house. On the other hand, if I use a train, it takes nearly one hour and a half. So using a car can save many times, and on top of that, driving a car from the airport to my parents' home is very enjoyable. I can listen to my favorite musics such as Backstreet Boys' "Shape of My heart" or Baby Face's "There She Goes" while driving.

As I have stated above, driving a car is time saving and enjoyable. We can even be relaxed by driving a car. But as you know, automobiles cause many problems. For example, we all know that the gas from automobiles is very harmful to the air and thus, the humans. And cars sometimes kill people, because the power of a car is so strong that the driver could not help injuring pedestrians when he makes some mistakes.

But we, humans, all know the convenience of a car. And we have improved the problems of a car. As an energy, we can use electricities instead of gasolines. Though we have not yet make a sufficient car that can take place of the gasoline cars. But we can develop a hybrid car, which can use both gasolines and electricities at the same time. And I hope, in the near future, we can drive a car that makes no harm to the environment.
