| TOEFL CBT 223 (5.0)>>> 22/F/Japan When asked to choose either a high-paying job with long hours that would give you little time with family or a lower-paying job with shorter hours that would give you more time with family and friend, I would like to choose the former job. It is because both high salary and long time work are desirable for me. I want to deposit money for the uncertain future. Now, in Japan, my country, welfare budget become insufficient year by year. It is because the number of elderly people is increasing drastically. When I am over 60 years old, I do not know that I might not get enough pension from my nation. Therefore, I would like to prepare such a bad situation. After resigning, I would be able to lead a stable life with enough money, even if I could not receive enough money and welfare service from Japanese government. It is honor to be able to job for a long time, since this means that I am such an able person that many people need to ask me to do a job. I would like to be such a person, when I become a worker. Moreover, through hard working, I am certain that I would be able to make good relationship with my coworkers, since I share pleasure and sorrow of business. If only the job is favorite profession, I never care its toughness. Some people might think that hard working prevent me from having leisure time with my friends and family members. However if only I succeed to keep good relationship with them, spending long time with them is not necessary. Frequent taking with them even short time, a few minutes, will keep our intimate relationship. However busy, I have confidence to make the moment for my friends or family. In this way, I would like to choose high paying job, since it guarantees my stable life, self satisfaction, and friends in my company. |
