Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

I disagree with the statement. I don't think tour guided traveling is the best way to enjoy our traveling. But I think tour guided traveling is good way to travel. I think so because a tour travel costs less than a private travel. If we buy tickets in a group for some transportation such as an airplane and a train, the fee will be cheaper than we buy tickets by ourselves. On the other hand, we can not do as we want if we participate in some tour group. Our own behavior might be restricted for the sake of the group. By that reason, I don't think a tour guided travel is the best way to enjoy our traveling.

In my country, many tourist companies began to notice the demands from the customers. So they made a new plan, that is, the tour members travel using the same transportation, so they can benefit from the cheaper transportation fee. But their behavior is totally free. All they have to do is to stay at the same hotel stay the same period, and when they go back to their hometown, they must use the same transportation. So they can spend their time freely during their staying. For example, last winter, I went to some mountain to snowboard with my friends. We participated in a tour group and we went to the mountain with the group using the same bus. But at the mountain, we didn't have to take any snowboard lesson or something by the tour group. We could enjoy our snowboarding to the full. And surprisingly, the total fee we paid for the four days visit is only 30,000 yen, that is, 300 U.S. dollars. You might think that as expensive. But in my country, 30,000 yen for four days visit is surprisingly valuable. The 30,000 fee included all the cost for a transportation, the hotel staying, the meal, fee for a snowboard wear and a snowboard. On top of that, it included the fee for the lift.

As I have said above, if we want to do something such as snowboarding or skiing, I think it is better to participate in such a tour group. But if we want to know about the town we visit, I think a tour traveling may be a best way. I think so because tour companies know famous places of the town and they know the most effective and time saving way to see them around. As you know, most of us don't have enough time to see all the famous places in the town. So if you want to know about the city effectively, I think the best way is to participate in some tour group.
