| 22/F/Japan>>> TOEFL CBT 223 (5.0) People have each idea about the classes that
college students should learn. Some people think that students should
learn various kind of subjects to acquire broad knowledge, others think
Others think that they should learn only specialized classes that students major
in. Specialized classes is more important for them, I admit.
But I believe that there is the essential subject all the students should learn
at the university, since the subject is necessity for students to live as an
ordenary people in the society.
Physical education( P.E) is the most important
subject. Physical education includes not only sports activities such as
baseball or basket ball, but also the proper way to deal with emergency or to
keep our shape.
The knowledge we can acquire from physical education class is essential for our life. If we cannot treat sudden injury or have no knowledge of serious disease, it might lead to irreparable situation. The serious disease might spread or we might not eliminate the cause of hart disease or cancer. Although in high school students learn them,
according to my father, who teach P.E. in high school, they do not study so
hard, some of whom, surprisingly, study other subjects such as English or
mathematics during the lecture, because they want to spend as much time as
possible on studying subjects, whose exam they should take to enter
university. Therefore, many of students need to learn P,E
again.
Physical education class might be a precious chance for
students who seldom do sports activity to do moderate exsercise. Doing
sports activity constantly is key to keep their body healthy.
Thinking about the importance of P,E, I have to conclude
that every student have to acquire the knowledge of P,E. It is because
without keeping healthy condition, students cannot acquire their specialized
knowledge nor make the most of the knowledge in the future.
