When my city consider a honorable person to built his or her statue, I would like to choose Tomonori Kanemoto,  my city's hero.  He is baseball player of a baseball team  in my city, Hiroshima, because of the following reasons.

First of all, Mr. Kanemoto is my city's hero and many people in my city are fun of the team and particularly, he is special for them.   It is because he is the best player of the baseball team but also was born and grew up in Hiroshima.  This is very important point because a monument should represent the city where it is built.

Especially, I develop a close attachment to him, since his born house, where his family members still are now is near my house and I learned at the same elementary and junior high school as he learned.  Therefore I am sure that he is the most suitable person who represent my city.

Secondly, his play is excellent and in any chances, his play distributes to victory of his team.  Although his team was still weak, he will be one of the best player and make the team the most strong one in Japan in the future.  After his retiring, he will strengthen this team as a competent manager.
In this way, my hometown's hero, Tomonori Kanemoto is the best person whose monument should be constructed in my city.
