     I agree with the statement. I think technology has made our world a better place to live. For example, by using an air conditioner, we can live in a warm house during winter. I don't like a cold air so I think I might not be able to live in a cold place without a air conditioner. Our ancestor warmed their body by surrounding a fire place. They fired some dried woods and burned them to warm their house. But by using an air conditioner, we don't have to burn woods or some other materials. You may think that we don't have to use an air conditioner if we want to only warm our home. I also think so. To warm our house, firing woods seem to be enough. But by using an air conditioner, we can reduce the risk of firing our house itself. On top of that, such an air conditioner can be used even in summer. When the temperature is high, we can adjust our room temperature by using the air conditioner, because it can also be used to cool our room.
     Automobiles have also improved our lives. By driving our automobiles, we can go to a distant place in a short time and easily. Now, almost all family have at least one car in my country. I have read in some article that one family in my country has an average of 1.5 cars, and as in my community, almost all family has three or four cars each. And I think that the more rural our areas are, the more comfortable a car makes our place to live. I mean, in rural or suburban areas, we can not live without cars.
     Computers also improved our lives. By using our personal computers, we can do our jobs efficiently. For example, we often submit some reports to our boss or co-workers, in such cases almost all of us use computers to make our reports. This is because computers can conduct some calculation easily and can make our data into some graph more easily. On top of that, by typing our reports by computers, others can read our reports comfortably. By using our computers, especially the Internet, we can communicate with others live in some remote areas. This enabled us to communicate with someone we don't know each other. We can even communicate with some foreigners by using the Internet.
     All of these things I have said above have certainly improved our lives and made our place a better place to live. But I think we have to at the same time, admit the minus caused by these technologies. As you know some of these technologies have certainly destroyed our nature and pollute air. And some of them consume our times instead of making our lives efficient. So I think we have to know all the advantages and disadvantages caused by technologies.
