In my country, we have mainly two international airport. And each airport has one major entertainment park nearby. One of the international airport is in Narita, near Tokyo, the capital of my country. And Narita is in a Chiba-Prefecture. In Chiba, we have one major theme park, the Disney Land. As you know the Disney Lnad is one of the biggest theme park in the world. The other international airport we have in our country is Kansai International Airport. This airstation is near Osaka, the third biggest city in my country. And in this city, we have another big theme park, the Universal Studio Japan. The USJ is the theme park of famous Hollywood movies.
Recently, the Disney corporation constructed a new theme park beside the Disney Land. The Disney Sea. As it has already a theme park of a "Land", the corporation built a new "Sea". Though I have not visited the Sea yet, many people in my country visited the park, and they all say that the Sea is extremely enjoyable and they want to go the Sea again and again. So we can not go to the Disney Sea on weekends, because all the tickets for Saturday and Sunday have already been preserved. If you want to visit the Sea and spend a full day without having to wait for one or three hours to ride some attractions, I would recommend you visit the Sea on weekdays. Especially, Monday is better. On top of that, if you visit the Disney Sea now, you can enjoy the X'mas campaign, the campaign continues from November until December 25.
As I mentioned above, the Universal Studio Japan is one of the biggest theme park for Hollywood movies. And we can enjoy the world of "Back to the Future", "Terminator", or some other famous movies. This theme park has also opened recently, so I don't recommend to visit on weekends, because you must wait so long for each attraction. But, while the Disney Sea has opened on this Summer 2001, the USJ opened on Spring 2001, you may not have to so long as in the Disney Sea.
In my country, we have more than entertainment parks. For example, if you go to Kyoto, you can learn the history of my country. In Kyoto, we have very important historical buildings such as Kiyomizu-Temple, Kinkaku-Temple, and so on. Especially, I want to recommend you to visit Kinkaku-Temple. In my country, "Kin" means gold and "kaku" means "be made of". So its name says, the Kinkaku-Temple is a golden temple. And if you visit Tokyo, you can know how well developed Japan is, because Tokyo has many skyscrapers and is one of the biggest cities in the world.
But these cities are too big for a foreign visitor to enjoy in only one day. So if I welcome some of my foreign friends, and want to make them happy in only one day, I would take them to the Disney Sea or the Universal Studio Japan.
