22/M/Japan >> TOEFL CBT 267/5.0 I don't watch a television so much, so I don't know much about a famous entertainer. So I want to write about some athlete I want to meet. Though I am interested in doing some sports such as snowboarding and swimming, I don't see sport games on television or in a studium. So I don't know many famous sport stars, but I know one Japanese baseball player who plays in the United States. His name is Nomo. You might know his name, because I heard that he is a great pitcher even in the United States. Though I don't see or play baseball, I know his name and face. Of course, I have played baseball with my friends when I was an elementary school student. In these days, we played baseball almost everyday after school. And I enjoyed playing the games at that time. When I entered my junior high school, I went to a school which is remote from my community. And most students in the school came from different areas using a train or a bus. You might be surprised, but that is very natural in my country, especially in my community. So I could not play baseball with my friends after school, as I did when I was an elementary school student. And I began to forget about playing a baseball or baseball itself. When I was a high school students, I was told by my friends that I look like "Nomo". When I was first told that by one of my friends, I didn't know the baseball player. But when he said that my face is like a Nomo's face, surprisingly, most friends there agreed with him. When I first saw Nomo's face in some magazine, I was very satisfied, because Nomo is a handsome guy. By the way, when I was a high school student, my friends also agreed that I look like one of entertainers in my country. If you are a Japanese, you might know "Dacho-club". "Dacho-club" is a famous comedy group in my country consisting of three members. And I was told from my friends that I look like one of them. And I must agreed with them when I saw "Dacho-club" on television. But my friends in my university don't believe that if I said that. When I was a high school student, my weight was over 70 kirograms, while my weight is 60 kirograms now. So no one in my university believe that I looked like Nomo or a member of "Dacho-club". Now I know that Nomo is a good baseball player who plays in the Unites States' major league. And I am proud of having been told that I look like Nomo when I was a high school student. So if I could meet him, I would appreciate the chance. |
