Computer technology has brought us convenient and enjoyable life.  It is so effective on our lives that some people might insist on increasing governmental investment to computer industry.   In fact, the more computer especially personal computer is prevalent, the more new business are yielded by new millionares who make bountiful benefit by their enterprises some of which are venture companies.   However, as for my country, I cannot agree with governmental excessive investment to IT indastory, considering present situation surrounding my country, Japan.

 

  Some people might guess govermental investment will become a potent stimuli of activating business which they might think, leads to enhance my country's economy.  However, I do not think so.  In fact, Japan has been in serious depression among ten years even during which IT industry is flourishing.  Unemployment rate of middle aged person continues to rise now.  Even if IT business have make some prohit for competent small number of workers, most of middle aged person cannot be absorbed by the increase of employment in such industry; middle aged person are usually too inflexible to acquire to use highly developed computer as their working method.   Moreover in fact in Japan, former prime minister Yoshiro Mori had already declared that the government whould help to promote IT industry about one years ago.   However. do you think what happened or changed in Japan?

 

  What I want to emphasize is that Japanese government has already hold variety of problems to tackle.   For instance, rising unemployment rate is very serious one.  Before spending vast amount of money on uncertain new technology, he should reinforce support system for jobless people.  Present procedure is insufficient.  They need to be more trained to gain license or technique for new job.  Government should also support companies to hire such people with money. 

 

  There are other problems like aging society.  Popuration in Japan is decreaing gradually and we could not expect to get much pencion in the future as the number of worker is decreasing.    Government decrease the amount of money to supply people for health insurance.  But it does not solve the problem.  If population decreasing do not stop in the future, we should be more healthy and wealthy person to live with small governmental support.  Elderly people even over sixty,  would have to work.  Therefore government shold spend money to educate people to keep good shape and reform the law for nations to work until they go to another world.

 

 In this way, the problems Japanese government should solve are accumulating year by year.  I never deny the remarkable benefit that computer has brought but I think the country cannot afford to make new investment.
